It might be your "only answer". But it isn't going to happen.
So now what?
I already told you, assimilation of these people into American culture is an impossiblility. So if the measures I (and many other Americans) recommended are duly ignored by the braindeads in Washington, prepare yourself to eventually assimilate into Mexican culture.
ping
Total agreement here. I would even go a step farther.
The citizens that elect these nincompoops in DC are the real embarassment to our American legacy.
Thomas Jefferson (I think he was the one) said that American soil needs to be irrigated with blood every so often, both the blood of invaders and the blood of patriots.
We need to get these invaders back to there own country before it is to late.
From that other thread, you will see that Teddy Roosevelt was for "UNLIMITED" legal immigration - would either of you agree with that?
"Bush is making d@mn sure that something gets done. It won't be perfect, and nobody will be entirely happy. But I believe we will be better off if we can get the "illegal" stigma out of the way, and begin to assimilate these people. We simply must do that, or this country becomes Mexico North. Not by "revolution", but with demographics."
Tolerance is the virtue of a person with no convictions!
Appeasement is the trait of a person with no balls.
I think both of these lines suit you quite well.
You seem to be dealing out the personal insults today. Why is it that you do that when people disagree with you?
And throwing insults is a window into your character.
Since Washington isn't going to do anything, and you've surrendered on the job of assimilation, then I guess we'll soon be mexican.
Especially Ammo
Washington may do what's necessary if we turn up the burner high enough. Are you surrendering?
"And you've surrendered on the job of assimilation"
It's not my resonsibility to get those Mexican nationalists (both legal and illegal) to assimilate, it's theirs. .....and as I've made perfectly clear, they're not going to do it. Continue to live in your fantasy world if you must.
It's not our job, it's theirs to assimilate. They don't want to, don't you get it? Didn't those foreigners flying their colors on US soil bring that home to you? Brave and honorable men fought to keep this country free of tyranny and invasion, and we won't surrender to this communist threat from the south.
Actually, a lot of them do. But we're making it difficult telling them daily that they're "illegal". So we not only physically make it difficult to assimilate, because they must hide in the barrio lest the Border Patrol snag them, but we're also giving a bad example of what it is to be "American". Which from their vantage point looks like a bunch of tight fisted bosses and people reminding them that they're "illegal" and not wanted here.
All the above needs to change.
America was built on the rule of law not men. That's what set us apart. I'm not willing to live under their system (rule of men), and they'll learn about our system (rule of law) by getting their butts kicked back over the border.
They need to be reminded daily that they're here illegally, just as small business owners are when they play by the thousand rules govt. set up for that purpose. Like taking out for taxes. The illegal business men (rule of men) are hurting the rule of law businesses.
I could go on. You're just wrong on this.
Today I am really ticked off that the man who was elected to protect this country is ignoring his Oath of Office. Remember back in the days when I used to type President Bush? Have you noticed that now I refer him to Bush. I have lost every single iota of respect for that an that I ever once held. I am pissed that he is pissing on the Presidents Oath of Office.
You are just catching the overflow.
Insults or is it the truth that I am throwing your way? I think it is the truth.
