Actually, there still is great pizza in New York, as long as you avoid the delis, the chains, and any place that sells "pizza and chicken."

I'm not a pizza snob. I don't even like (Gasp!) John's that much. Famous Rays, Original Famous Rays, Ray's Original Famous, Rays Famous Original etc. etc. etc. etc. are good enough for me.

Throw this POS rino out of our party, we don't need him. Can we just cut NYC off from the rest of the landmass and let it drift out to sea? Bloomberg really is a RINO, specifically. He ran on the Republican ticket because 1) he couldn't make it through the Dem selection process, and 2) he was far more palatable to the Republicans than the complete nutjobs the Dems were putting forward.

Bloomberg is an idiot-agreed. But mandatory sentencing is not a good idea for anything. What we need is tough laws and the ability to remove judges who fail to enforce them. But mandatory sentencing has a whole host of problems. take the three strikes law. You get caught drinking beer,or smoking pot, in a National Park(felony) as a third offense and you get a mandatory jail term-bad idea

When it comes to guns, if Bloomin' Idiot is for it, I'm against it. If he's against it, I'm for it.
And for those who worship Guiliani, he's a gun-grabbing RINO as well. A pox on both their houses.

nope, didn't hear about it, but it's not going to do too much since the state of ny has no harsh and mandatory sentencing. jail is a revolving door. koch did a lot of talking too and admitted it's the same 50,000 people who commit the crimes, put them away for good and the crime rate will fall to almost 0.
you see it all the time on the news, the rap sheets these thugs have. even in the case with littlejohn, he's an ex-con, the problem is that they're all ex-cons, on the streets.

What Bloomberg failed to mention is that the criminals are those that had the guns not the honest citizens. What is also not mentioned is that the legal possession of a gun long rifle, shotgun or handgun is strictly forbidden in NYC unless licensed. No handgun licenses have been issued to NYC residents unless they are politically connected. The average NYC resident finds it almost impossible to obtain a pistol permit and is charged exorbitant fees to own a shotgun or rifle.

Bring back Rudi. He was just as much of a gun-grabber as this current homo.

And North of Westchester County. Plenty of folks in the 'upstate' part of NY love thier guns and shooting.
NYC is irrelevant to most upstate Ny'ers i know.

Could some NY FReepers please help me out by answering a few questions?
1.) Has everyone in NYC gone insane?
2.) Does everyone in NYC act, think and behave like Hillary Clinton and Bloomberg?
3.) Has everyone in NYC forgotten 9/11?
Answers
1. MOST people in NYC are insane. The cops and firemen and the ole irish and itialian boys (which i am one of) are the MINORITY in this place. There are mabey 3 or 4 good residential neighborhoods in NYC. Most of this city is made up of yuppies (liberals), 'minorities', and people that dont speak english.
2. No, not EVERYONE acts like either of thsoe clowns. Most people in NYC are either hard core liberals or just morons that vote for them because the media says to- that goes back to politically uneducated minority voters. Keep in mind- most people in NYC dont enjoy the same freedoms that most americans do- there is no 2nd ammendmet in nyc along with other american traditions that the rest of the country enjoys.
3. I lost some close friends on 9/11.. It burns my ass everyday that it has turned into a political issue.
Keep in mind that something like 35% of people in NYC are FOREIGNERS. They are NOT americans. Most of the foreigners here have overstayed their visas.
The NYPD and FDNY are made up of some of the finest men in this city.. however,, both depts are being saturated with hiring quotas in the name of 'equal opertunity'... Its a damm shame whats happening to those depts.
I have left NYC.. I currently live up in the Catskill Mtns of NY in what i like to call 'Gods Country'. The air is clean, the hunting is great, and there is tons of places to fish. Up here i can own as many guns as i want (i have about 13 in the closet). I am going to buy a new .22 this weekend. Most upstate Ny'ers would love to kick NYC out and make them form their own state. We now have to pay for THEIR schools because the Cidiots (City Idiots) screwed them up beyond repair.
I appologize for the bullcrap that comes out of that City. Please understand that NYC and Upstate NY are two TOTALY different cultures and we dont take what they say/do too seriously.. The culture changes 100% at orange county. Where are you from?
