"The vice president stressed that nothing in the new documents uncovered so far links Saddam to the 9/11 attacks"

its lines like that, that make the whole story useless

This will be W's greatest legacy, challenging the cancer of terrorism spreading out of Saddams Iraq. If it had continued on, God knows what kind of beast, networking with terrorists round the world, would have grown out of that pit. And our children would have had to deal with it.

Osama or not, Saddam was in bed with terrorists, and that was more than enough reason to get rid of his sorry carcass. Iran is next.

I just don't think that the old media will ever admit their error in this situation if a link is found.
They keep hitting new lows anyway and have too much to lose.
We'll see what the new media can do with these stories but I am not going to hold my breath.

I do wish he would run in '08 and '12.Stick with Washington's precedent.

Besides, I don't think we can afford another 8 years of Bush profligacy.

Right. I think is was wise for the administration to release these docs in a slow methodical manner as the collective impact will end up being far greater than a huge one time document dump.

Cheney needs to be on your ping list ... we've already got the evidence that Saddam had contacts with nefarious characters.

I'll ping him.

Before you may post this message, the following must be corrected:
Could not find anybody named 'VP Cheney'

Oh well ...

"The vice president stressed that nothing in the new documents uncovered so far links Saddam to the 9/11 attacks" - no, just links Saddam to supporting the perpetrator. Justification enough for me for regime change.

I just don't think that the old media will ever admit their error in this situation if a link is found.

They will just emphasis that Saddam worked with al Qaeda on Saudi Arabia exclusively, or something to that affect. Ties between Saddam and other terrorist groups will be reduced to reporting on how these groups are not al Qaeda.

The MSM - kicking and screaming - might eventually have to take a look at these documents. You'd think that a media so obsessed with obtaining government documents IN EVERY OTHER SITUATION - is taking such a blase - even hostile - approach to these documents. They seem to really fear that something will turn up that will exonerate Bush. They have so much capital invested in the "Bush lied about WMDs" scenario, they don't want a full examination of the facts.

Congress spends the money. Were you as upset as the Treason Media about Reagan's "profligacy"?
