There's another site here on FR saying that she was a convert to Muslim and it gave her Arabic name. They made a mistake kidnapping her...got one of their own. It got their lady Jihadists set free though. (I thought we didn't give in to blackmail. Looks like we do.)

Same here. The translator that died during the "kidnapping" was Christian--probably expendable in their eyes. She was in on this from the gitgo.
