Actually, according to the Irish Examiner, there were Irish immigrants demonstrating this past weekend. It doesn't say if they were waving Irish flags, though, so I will concede your point.

Take this link with a grain of salt (it comes from a pro-Irish immigration organization), but here's a picture of the Irish rally in DC and there is a guy in the front with an Irish flag.

It just makes Tony's point about citizenship tests more clear--it's important for every immigrant to this country!
