When the Minutemen had a rally on the Capitol grounds early last month, Dana Rohrbacher and Tom Tancredo were the only two elected officials who cared enough to show up.

The problem is that Hasert is signaling that he's more than willing to literally give away the farm with the amnesty program. If the House caves on this issue, I'm done with the Republican Party on a national level.

House conservatives criticized President Bush

How DAAAAAAARRRRRRREEEEE THEY!!!!!!!!!!

Not ONE of them is fit to lick the boots of George the great! They ought to drop to their knees and thank the good Lord above that he allows them to live!

The elite class in America is becoming a ruling class and they've made enough money by hiring cheap illegal labor that they think they also have some kind of a right to cheap servants to manicure their nails and their lawn, for example.

"So this ruling class, this new ruling class of America, is expanding a servant class in America at the expense of the middle class of America, the blue collar of America that used to be able to punch a time clock, buy a modest house and raise their families. ...

This argument over illegal immigration goes to the heart of our American project of self-government. It is about the people reasserting their sovereign rights as citizens to govern themselves through democratically enacted legislation. It is about whether the people's will (and not that of a wealthy and unaccountable ruling elite) will be honored by our elected officials and whether our democratically enacted laws will be enforced by our chief executive -- the President. In short, it is about whether the 219 year old experiment in republican self-government won for us by our founders will be declared officially null and void and replaced by the rule of a political and business oligarchy that substitutes its private interest and agendas for the common good.

"We the people" have made our wishes to control our borders and prevent businesses from hiring illegal aliens loud and clear for decades yet we have had imposed on us by our elected officials an open borders, no enforcement policy that we have rejected time and again. We need a majority of the House members to loudly call for the President to protect our borders and stop trying to force an amnesty program down our throats again. If the President refuses to perform his oath of office and enforce our democratically enacted laws then the House should bring impeachment charges.

Americans are being victimized every day at the hands of criminal illegal immigrants and the President and Congress share blame in each and every crime an illegal immigrant commits as well as for all the economic harm caused by the illegal invasion of our nation. By his ongoing failure to enforce the democratically enacted laws against illegal immigration President Bush has shown his contempt both for democratic self-governance and the American people. His arrogant refusal to perform his constitutional duty should be met with the one remedy provided by the Constitution to protect the people against the usurpation of their legislative authority -- impeachment. It is now well past time for Congress to assert the rights of the American people to self-government.

"I say let the prisoners pick the fruits," said Rep. Dana Rohrabacher of California, one of more than a dozen Republicans who took turns condemning a Senate bill that offers an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants an opportunity for citizenship.

BS. I say let the able bodied welfare recipients do it after we cut off their benefits.

Hey dana, why don't you give up your tax payer paid perks and be a good American and work in the fields. Set an example.
