"Question: What percentage of the people planning, organizing or planning to take part in this do you think are actually illegals?"
I wouldn't be surprised if the people and organizers of all these "demonstations" are all the usual "liberal", useful idiot and predictable lefties and America haters.l
Ditto...plus I plan to call INS whenever I see a job site with Spanish speakers.
Every construction site I've seen in Texas (and there are lots of them here for a high growth rate) has practically NO Anglos working there (except a few supervisors). They're all Hispanic and most probably illegal.
I thought constuction jobs were high paying and desirable "blue collar" jobs.
I can't believe that there aren't native or anglo American's that don't want these jobs.
What's wrong with this picture?
Half of my neighbors are now flying theirs too and it looks great.
"Great American Boycott of 2006"
And the purpose of this boycott is to show us... what! I wonder if America will grind to a halt. If not, send them back home.
I'm starting to see these people as enemies not people who want to come here and be Americans.
I wonder how many miles of chain-link frnce could be thrown up by 100,000 volunteers over a long weekend, say, Independence Day?
Not the one around here... and there is no lack of illegals here.
"As suspected it appears as though the organizers of the massive pro-illegal immigrant demonstration a couple weekends ago here in LA were none other than the communist organization ANSWER. Imagine that! Now why would communists want our country overrun with illegal aliens? I wonder how the president feels about being on the same side of this issue as the communists of the ANSWER organization?"
Here's a better question. How do certain FReepers feel now that theyve been exposed as commie lackeys? Dane?
May 1???!
Organized by the commies at ANSWER?
May 1 is "MAY DAY!"
AKA "INTERNATIONAL WORKERS DAY!!!"
They couldn't advertise their intentions more loudly.
Sign this petition NOW before you go shopping on May 1st.

"Wow I thought that ONLY AMERICAN CITIZENS had "rights""
I hope you say that tongue in cheek.
Read the constitution and books supportive of it.
"Rights" clearly come from God/natural law and are given by God to ALL persons in the entire world. Illegal immigrants, people who are still in the old country, everybody has "rights".
But "rights" is a very limited set. They are not "privileges". Privileges come from man and man's government. They can be capriciously extended or withheld on whatever basis the people in power want to use.
"Power" is what is possessed by government.
If you are not accepting the misuse of the word "rights" that is a shortened version of "human rights". Human rights are not "God given rights". Human rights are relative to the times and situational ethics.
Accepting that misuse of the word "rights" and then applying it only to American citizens will take you and the argument in a direction nobody in FR should want to go.
I think I know how to tell the difference:
Communists march in orderly rows.
Illegals march under foreign flags.
You are absolutely right. Of course, we can round up and deport illegal aliens. Anyone who supports these criminals (and all illegal aliens are criminals who have shown their willingness to break our laws if it benefits them), have to be traitors, bribed/blackmailed, and/or mentally ill.
None. The powers that be want the cheap labor. And we'll bend over and take it as usual.
Agreed. And one day is not going to have much of an effect. Maybe they should boycott for a month. Eventually, people will find out that they can do without them.
I'll be working overtime that day to protest!!!
I suggest making a list for the previous week or two and then buying everything on May 1st. Be sure to buy something in WalMart just to keep their numbers up.
Oh trust me we are. I have already mentioned to the wife that the 1st be our major shopping day for that "shopping period". The great news is that we now are retired and live in Brownsville, TX where I will imagine a number of folks will honor the boycott. Perhaps we will even have the privilage of crossing some picket lines.
