A push to give Big Apple residents who aren't citizens the right to vote kicks off today, with throngs of immigrants flocking to City Hall to back legislation giving them access to the ballot box.

The Voting Rights Restoration Act would allow permanent residents, or "green card" holders, who have lived in the city for more than six months to vote in local elections. "We have a large number of people who are documented and pay taxes, but can't vote," said Councilman Kendall Stewart (D-Manhattan), chairman of the council's Immigration Committee and a prime sponsor of the bill.

Not content with US taxpayers footing their bills for everything from immigrants' medical needs, welfare, food stamps, housing, all levels of schooling including college, child care, maternity benefits, and so on, now they are rampaging over our government and its laws.

All of this demonstrates the mindset of invasion rather than immigration-----and The Plan by illegals to overthrow the US government. Plotting to go to war against the US, to overthrow the US government, and to allow a foreign government to occupy the several states is an accurate summary of MECHA's mission statement. Here's what we have to look forward to:

Politically, such a move could change the complexion of the city, likely adding substantial numbers of Democratic voters to the rolls.

And in many other cities as well. .....thanks in no small part to GOP politicians whose greed (securing cheap/illegal labor for corporate contributors who keep the Party coffers stuffed) made them terminally near-sighted regarding the the future of our nation. ....and now all of us are paying dearly.

Six months? I wouldn't let them if they've lived here SIX YEARS! If they want to vote, become a citizen.

THere are people in NYC that have worked here for 20 or 30 years. Laws are passed every day that affect them and they pay all sorts of taxes to work here. THey may even have to respond to funny regulations for their business.

But they live in New Jersey, so they DON'T have any representation and they don't get to vote in NYC or NYS elections.

Why should non-citizens get the right to vote in the city or the state just because they are here?

Chicago has beat them to the punch. In Chicago, ILLEGALS are allowed and ENCOURAGED to vote in the local election for the individual school councils.

Every school has a council that 'runs it' (hires the Principal, Teachers, spends discretionary money, etc) and about eight years ago the city realized that not enough U.S. citizens with school age children lived in most of the local districts so 'Da Mare', Richie Daley said, ningún problema, let the ILLEGALS Vote and serve on the Councils.

So they do. ILLEGALS are making monetary (taxing) decisions for U.S. Citizens just because THEY have kids in the schools and the U.S. Citizen next door does not. Pretty cool, eh?

Congress debates the future of illegal immigrants about 20 years too late. These immigrants squat here and intend to stay no matter what laws are passed. Conservatively, there are 12 million immigrants straining the US economy. GWB wants to allow guest workers to stay herre for up to six years and then return home after that.

Hah.

And of course, children born to these immigrants are automatically U.S. citizens, which adds another complication.

Now let's look at how such policies reverberated negatively on other countries. Germany instituted a Gast Arbeiter (guest worker) program for immigrants, who stayed and blended into the German population. The Gast Arbeiters became a political force shaping German domestic and foreign policy to the detriment of the indigenous populations.

France has experienced an influx of North Africa immigrants who are causing political and social problems in that country. Such problems arise when there is no measured immigration influx.

Illegal immigrants will not return from whence they came after six years and will become part of the fabric of the US. They then will have a strong voice in shaping domestic and foreign policy. The current organized immigrant activity, carrying Mexican flags and shouting down anything that stands in their way, indicates they have learned the ropes of political agit-prop, and have already begun to achieve their hidden agenda.
