Having read his web page just now I agree with 50% of what he is saying. The just of it is the Human populations and all species on earth tend to get hit with a plague that corrects the over population. A close study of these past plagues as shown they end before we are able to do anything to stop them. The last example was polio, the vaccine did not get introduced until long after the decline had already started, lagging about 2 years by the time enough kids had the vaccine it had already gone away. Skunks do this every 10 years or so, they suddenly have an outbreak of rabies usually after a drought when what ever they eat is short vs the population. Texas is having a rabies outbreak now. Scientist can not explain what triggers these plagues other than they tend to follow stress on a population. The problem in Mexico is the use of Antibiotics and Catholic religion that prevents birth control has caused every family to have larger number of kids who all survive. My grandmother in 1920 had 6 kids and only 2 lived to be adults, most died of some thing or another all that can be treated by medicine today. No economy can absorb a birth of 8 kids for every 2 workers non stop. So Fox ships them all to the USA as illegal Mexicans, suddenly we have 12 million illegal Mexicans in the USA. The bottom line is if we had half as many humans on the planet and we all had only 2 kids, and no Muslims, it would be a lot easer keep things stable. Now all the global warming and other leftist crap he talks about is just that liberal crap. By the way I am not saying we should do any drastic programs to do anything only that away from the emotions of this there is some common sense science to the idea. Want to solve pollution, cut down the number of humans to be able to treat sewage and pick up garbage. Want to keep everyone employed stop the human explosion in Mexico and any immigration growth. Economics in modern industrial countries with closed borders kids cost to much, when women become educated they use birth control and the birth rate drops to 2 kids per family with well educated parents and a industrial society all of this with no government controls. Its the uneducated peasants of the world along with antibiotics and modern farming and sanitary sewers thats feeds too many kids that all survive to adulthood.

"The speech received a prolonged standing ovation at the Academys annual meeting at Lamar University in Beaumont."
If true, is this not the most disturbing aspect of the entire episode?

Sorry that got you mad, I happen to love Catholics and have several in my family. Only stating facts here. I worked in Mexico for 5 years and thats what is going on there. No birth control, free antibiotics and exploding birth rates, all our 30 year old Mexicans in our Factory had 6 kids. They had 30% unemployment because of many reasons but over population was the main one. I happen to love Mexicans and have great respect for their dedication to family and work, much of that from their deep Catholic faith. I am also against illegal immigration. You can think in facts and use science without all the emotion you know.

However, don't dare suggest killing the guilty!
True, true, and we must give the terrorists more rights than we do American citizens too...After all it's always the fault of the wascally conservatives, not the Imams, Madrasses, terrorist training/indoctrination camps, and dictators...no..can't be that... (/sarcasm)
These leftists would be funny, in a Dr. Strangelove kinda way, but they actually believe these lies and hate they spew!!!

I'm less worried about the professor than I am about other "educators" and his students being in favor of his genocidal ideas. Part of it can be dismissed as the habit of some fools to embrace evil just because it is controversial. Still, one wonders how many of his followers stay up all night working on how to make a doomsday disease or at least making plans for the "perfect" death camp. Hitler needed his followers too and things did not happen in a vaccum. Likewise, Dr. Pianka is just a symptom of a far greater problem.
