Mid-Level Business Staffers Hit Hardest...
Time Inc. eliminated another 250 jobs today in its latest, largest and, perhaps, last round of cutbacks.
The mid-level and junior-level workers shown the door almost all came from the business side of operations at a long list of titles.

i know everyone is quick to say the downfall of the "DinoMedia" is here...but the rational explanation is that computers, internet etc (which dont forget the Dino Media uses too) requires LESS workers than the traditional papers did. Unfortunetly, the end of the Dinomedia isnt here yet

About the same here. It's been 40 years or so since I've read Time, Newsweek, NY Times, and the rest of the lunatic left rags. They have zero credibility.
Some of you have mentioned "these threads" in your comments on this thread. Look folks, when it comes to illegal immigrants taking U.S. Citizens jobs, when it comes to transferring jobs offshore, when it comes to moving manufacturing jobs overseas, there's a morbid silence on this forum from a lot of folks.
I mention that I don't mind at all that a leftist rag's employees are being laid off, and all of a sudden some of you gain sensitivity to job layoffs.
If these folks work for Time, they are working for a publishing media conglomerate that has spent at least the last decade trying to destroy much of what you believe in. Pardon me for not being very sympathetic as their empire crumbles.
CBS knows that about 50 percent of the evening news audience are women.
If NBC has 9.5 million, ABC has 8.7 Million and CBS has 8.1 million that totals 26.3 Million viewers. If nearly 50 percent are women then there are 12.5 to 13 million woman in the evening news audience. They think Katie can lure most of the women away from NBC and ABC. They also think she can hold a fair number of men.. that would put Katie in a huge lead over NBC and ABC.
That will not work. A female co-host on the morning show can trash men with her fake smile and back stabbing personality.. but a news anchor .... never.
Women see through Katie in a heart beat.. Only CBS executives are too naive to understand how women perceive Katie Kat.
Men don't care much for Katie either. Most men undestand women like Katie and at best wish her on their worst enemies.
