Hersh made a name for himself by breaking the story of the My Lai Massacre...

...and what a name that was. (B-stard_

One of my poli sci professors told us today to read Hersh's story. I thought...hmm, no thanks.

Not to worry. The only people who believe Hersh are loony leftists and they are not swayed by facts, anyway.

This is about as much a non-issue as the "global warming" hysteria.

"The source for this story is journalist Seymour Hersh."

He isn't a journalist. He is a hack mouthpiece of the left.

Useful Idiots like Hersh allow the administration to threaten Iran while keeping deny-ability.

So that's the gist of Seymour Hersh's article appearing in the New Yorker, a magazine that's so snobbish even their cartoons are unfunny -- unless you're stoned on marijuana in which case everything gets a giggle.

Can this contention about being stoned be verified?

The left's fantasy land again. George Bush is the most dangerous President ever and is determined to wipe out the would with his super, duper, secret weapon, a quintrillion ton nuclear weapon that's compact enough to fit in a briefcase.

I think the oil traders are using this as an excuse to jack up oil. Along with everything else.

As a stoner who has seen a New Yorker cartoon while under the influence.....It didn't even get a giggle.

I can't say I have much use for Hersh.......

"It's long on hype, short on facts. Consider the source of the article," one senior White House official told Fox News"

To be honest though, a senior White House official telling Fox News directly not to worry doesn't exactly make me feel a whole lot better either............

Did he? Perhaps your political science prof might ask you all to read the above article as well- in the interest of showing all sides of the issue. Of course he wants to do this because he hopes you will learn to see the various sides in political debates and learn how to think, right?

Another ranting leftie caught in a Viet Nam time-warp and still, all these years later, still trying to recapture his shining moment in the spotlight...even if he has to make it up. POS.

Well, he's definitely never made a secret of the fact that he's liberal. He's not as bad as some other professors I've had but sometimes he says things that really irritate me. I make it up with my papers though, letting him know how much I hate the books we're reading.

Good for you! When teaching becomes a platform for a particular viewpoint- it's no longer teaching, is it?

It would not surprise me if the White House and Pentagon knew exactly what Hersh would do with a bogus story...and I think they both wanted him to drag this out. The oil guys might be helped a bit...but I'm guessing that the Pentagon wants the Iranians to prepare for a particular type of attack...which might be totally different from what they'd normally expect.

The amusing thing was to watch the interview with Wolf Blitzer yesterday...and Seymour looked more like a kid in a candy store...detailing how wonderful it was that he had the story and could tell it. I think GW and Cheney set the guy up.

Exactly. A lot of times the information isn't really partisan but if he can work in his opinions to the topic, he will. At least he doesn't subtract points for my viewpoint though. I've gotten As on all my papers.

Hersh is also the guy who paid big money for letters allegedly from JFK to a Ny attorney, discussing his affair with Marilyn Monroe. Trouble is, the letters included zip codes, which weren't in use at the time the letters were supposedly written.

Ha. I was thinking the same thing, that Hersh is under the
influence of Karl Rove.

Seymour Hersh is a loathsome little America-hating pest, but in this case we'd better be planning for far more than he's talking about. If we don't have well-developed contingency plans for destroying every nuke-related facility in Iran then I'd be VERY disappointed. In face, we'd better have a well-studied plan to destroy every military facility in Iran.

.... and we'd sure better not leave any bases of the "Revolutionary Guards" off the target list!!!
