It was Latin Americans from various latin American countries
I went back on the internet to find Red Dawn sites and the plot summary said it was latin American AND Russkies...just as I had remembered. At any rate, whoever they are, how are they going get millions of armed soldiers, much less larger weapons and materiel, into our country undetected?
"The media is ignoring the red tide sweeping across Latin America..."
Why would they mention it? Leave well-enough alone, is what they think.
", and the federal government seems unwilling to respond."
The fed gov is swamped with threats. This is the Russian Strategy.
"The situation becomes even more alarming in view of our inept policies concerning the control of our borders."
We are making progress there. Let's not panic.
" I think we are seeing the beginnings of it right now ... keep your powder dry ... literally"
Poin taken, but the political fight (in the US) is more critical, though the armed citizenry is a big plus.
We must strengthen ourselves politically at the local level. Build solid Republican Clubs and Committees made of real conservatives. Then link up.
The Right to Life movement (of which I am not personally a member) is a good example of basic conservative strength.
"This may not have anything to do with Russia directly, but the post here is important to national security and Mexico represents a large market for Russian weaponry."
YES!!!!!
"I doubt Bush would even care..........
In fact.....I'll go as far as to claim that Bush will give the new Communist leader a big fat check right from the taxpayers wallet. (Of course .........they would have to sit through a photo opt session.)
Hey - Maybe Bush could just give 'em a credit card with no spending limit? Then I'm sure they would be our friend!"
Bush has made a lot of mistakes, but this is unfair.
"Nope:
The central government in Washington DC will fight us first.
Look at whats happening right now, the Washington government is already siding with our enemies."
Please clarify. The House of Representatives is on our side. That's a big one. Support for the Anti-Illegal movement is growing and will continue to.
Let's also send some Stinger Missies to Chechnya. Show those Russians that we don't mess around anymore.
Not to mention a base of operatons for Russia.
This is part of what Pres. Bush is trying to prevent by his "not-an-Amnesty" immigration proposals.
I don't agree, but we can see what is motivating him.
The more pressure we keep on Mexico, immigration-wise, the more reformers
inside of Mexico can be emboldened and empowered to scale back monopolists'
abuses down there which keep our own country flooded with economic refugees.
Here's an interesting new thread on new legal reform progress that finally
emerged in Mexico I think as a result of immigration reform's failure:

We can make a difference for our sake, and their's as well. Isn't it the
neighborly thing to do?
I hope the optimist is right too, but unfortunately, I suspect that you are.
"Not to mention a base of operatons for Russia."
Right. Don't mention that, it would upset people. And I won't mention how likely it is that Russia is covertly connected to Cuba's attempt to turn Latin America into a communist region.
"And I won't mention how likely it is that Russia is covertly connected to Cuba's attempt to turn Latin America into a communist region."
Covertly?
"Covertly?"
Is it overt? I haven't seen any mention of it.
You're getting close. Have you read the various 'Totalization' agreements with Mexico concerning Social Security?
You are the first person I've read who has seen the totalitarianism that has been foisted upon us. People have been trained through Pavlovian methods to allow cameras to watch our intersections. We don't fry murderers, but we watch intersections to tax and ticket people running redlights. Anything to finance the superstate.
It's becoming increasingly impossible to live our lives without running afoul of some law or regulation.
We are already socialist.
Wrong. Fox is from the PAN. He defeated the PRI.
Mexico is a KLEPTOCRACY.
(for those in rio linda KLETPO derived from the greek "thief/steal")
Remember RED DAWN!!!"
YES WOLVERINES YES!!!!!!!
Communist infiltration of US State & Defense has never been removed even though Angleton tried and failed and their network has only grown. Chavez is merely connecting to Cells within US while he tries to continue the subversion of Meixco begun decades ago by KGB. Cells remain in that country too. Interesting that Chavez is buying critical US compaines, some involved in higly classified secrets, but no objection to this like the one to the UAE even though the danger is greater here with this than with UAE.
GO WOLVERINES!!
