yeah- I say if the gov't messed up- then round these people up and shoot them...
oy! Don't be silly...I think you know ME better than that- but I realize you are addressing the issue- not me personally-- I don't think it is unreasonable to get those people help to get things straightened out....
But until we STOP the INTENTIONAL BORDER INVASION- it is just wrong to expect Americans to pardon the invaders already here... once Americans can be shown that we are serious baout stopping the madness... it will be uch easier to win us over on amnesty for those already here...

I tell ya what- dead beat dad hasn't seen his kids in 4 years... why- because he is a lawbreaker... the mean gov't forcing him to follow the law took their daddy away?
c'mon... if you marry an illegal alien and have kids- YOU CHOSE that for your children and your family.... People have GOT to start dealign with the consequences of their decisions..... that is NOT cruel... and people assuming I am cruel for expecting people to deal with their decisions is just out-right wrong... You have no idea- I am dealing with my poor decision- BIG TIME. It is what has made me stronger and wiser....
I do know you better than that. I'm just saying that when the Law is an Ass, maybe you change to an Elephant. This immigration law we are living with was an LBJ concoction. That piece on FNC by WIlliam LaJaness (sp?) of FNC talks to how he screwed it up. The '86 Amnesty and subsequent tinkerings were simply amalgams to a plan which NEVER worked to start with. I'm saying that we should rethink the way we do the law so we get the people who will support our country, not the ones who wave the Mexican or other flag. As for breaking up families, I dunno. I hear you, because there ARE deadbeat dads. And then I remember Elian Gonzales. That little boy with the Assault Rifle in his face. And I ask myself do I want to see those pictures in the news. And if I DO see those pictures in the news, what's going to happen to all those folks who are afraid they're next. We will create a self-fulfilling prophecy by making family minded people into Democrats. Because they WON'T go home. They'll get enough people to vote DUmmy and then stay here even though they speak Spanish and don't want to learn English. Because they're VOTES. So then I ask what future would I rather see. I want to see Asian and Hispanic families who share our values to be Republican America lovers, not DUmmie American haters. And I don't see that fences, deportation orders or the like get us there. If you think it's pandering for votes, NO. VOtes have consequences. Those votes WILL go somewhere. We saw California go from GOP Reagan to DUmmie because of Pete Wilson. If we don't watch out we'll get the same result nation wide. And then there will be NO border security and NO limits on just getting the "good" immigrants. (and this argument is not "against" you personally and we are STILL friends...)
