Yep they are omnivorous means they eat any thing they can. I have hunted ,studied, lived with and killed bears for more the 3 decades. Matter of fact I had one den less then 200 yards from the house a couple of winters ago.

If they can or think they can they will take meat. Ask any sheep rancher in bear country. Using meat for bait is very common in lot of places. Here in Wis we are limited to other things no meat allowed.
