Tehran, Iran, Apr. 16 The supreme commander of Irans regular armed forces said the Islamic Republic was monitoring enemy positions in the region and was prepared to give a crushing response to any foreign attack.
The Islamic Republic of Irans army is closely monitoring all military activities across the region and by understanding the enemies goals and program has the required awareness and preparedness to counter any direct or indirect threat. The army will decisively respond to even the smallest act of aggression against the sovereignty and interests of the country, Major General Attaollah Salehi said in a statement read out Saturday morning at the headquarters of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The army will in the shortest space of time give the most crushing response to any aggressor, Salehi said, adding that the armed forces would continue to emblazon the torch of the struggle against global imperialism.
Iran has a dual military system with a regular armed forces as well as the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). Both report directly to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

I seem to recall another leader of a middle eastern country who invited us to "The Mother of All Battles".
He got a MOAB that he did not expect (both times).

I can't quite put my finger on it, but this system seems to have been copied from some other dude who called himself 'Leader'... I forgot his name...

My biggest concern is that they may launch a missile attack on our guys in Iraq. IF they were to hit the "green zone", it would be a devastating blow to our troops.

If Iraq is any indication of how this will go, it'll be several years before any sort of military action is initiated. These guys will just get themselves frustrated trying to egg us on into starting something earlier.
If it does come down to military action down the road, these guys will be so used to the status quo that they'll be off guard.

There is a reason that the Camel is known as the ship of the desert.....it is full of Iranian Semen...which is of course their first line of defense.. Truth be known their bluster has painted themselves in a corner...it sure would be interesting to be a fly on the wall in Tehran listening to their so called leadership.....as they bull ship in their strategy sessions....all knowing their feces is really weak.... It would be my guess that a massive bombing campaign, not that it wouldn't work, may be on back burner....remember we have lot's or Iraqi's that understand payback time.....sit tight and watch your lowest approval in history President engineer this crisis...yee of so little faith!!

this system seems to have been copied from some other dude who called himself 'Leader'... I forgot his name...That would be "Maximum Leader" General Manuel "Pineapple" Noreiga. No, sorry, it's "Dear Leader" Kim "I'm so ronery" Jong-il. Or is it "Big Daddy" Idi Amin? Or Saddam Hussein?
I can't keep all these psychos straight!

We will immediately or sooner crush the infidel invaders. We will make them disappear so they will no longer be in Iran. Their tanks and planes, too!

Now to be fair in all this during the Iraq/Iran war they die in the thousands making human wave attacks against the forces of Iraq.
The Revolutionary Forces of Iran can get a bit worked up but we have much better fire control then the Iraq forces ever had.

The Baath party was set up as an explicitly Nazi-modeled party. "Iran" was renamed from "Persia" to mirror the name "Aryan" to please the Nazis.
