NATIONAL CAMPAIGN TO TAKE LOU DOBBS OFF THE AIR KICKS OFF MAY 1

Lou Dobbs: Self Interested Demagoguery

One who makes use of popular prejudices and false claims and promises in order to gain ratings

NATIONAL CAMPAIGN TO TAKE LOU DOBBS OFF THE AIR KICKS OFF MAY 1

Why AOL? Lou Dobbs is the number one money maker for CNN so he is not going anywhere as long as he makes money for CNN and right now he is making a ton of money for CNN bashing "illegal immigration."

CNN is owned by Time Warner and Time Warner also owns AOL which is being extensively promoted to increase its value as witnessed last week by selling 5% of AOL stock to Google. This 5% cost Google $1 Billion setting a benchmark value for AOL stock.

The Google-AOL deal gives AOL a valuation of $20 billion.

Billionaire Time Warner shareholder Carl Icahn who controls 3 percent of Time Warner shares has been organizing a proxy battle for control of Time Warner wants to sell AOL.

We could never directly muzzle Lou Dobbs because the revenue his trashing of Hispanic/Latinos generates for CNN is huge and CNN's revenue belongs to Time Warner.

The Achilles heel is AOL. If the value of AOL was to decrease dramatically because of the loss of the Hispanic/Latino market, Time Warner, and more so, Carl Icahn, would move to stop this hemorrhage. The only way to stop the hemorrhage would be to meet the demands of the Hispanic/Latino community: Remove Lou Dobbs off the Air.

Why is this so important?

The marches, rallies, and protests have been instrumental in the Senate Judiciary Committee's adoption of the McCain Kennedy Immigration Reform proposal and its submission to the Senate for debate. The monumental protests have been heard in Washington and around the USA.

As monumental as the protests have energized the Hispanic community, the protests will not take immigration over the top as witnessed by the Senate failing to approve immigration reform.

Time now for a reality check: The US Senate debated immigration reform but the Senate votes to adopt the Kennedy McCain proposal were simply not there!

Something else now needs to be added to the protests to take us to the next level if we are going to realize immigration reform as Hispanics favor.

Lou Dobbs

Lou Dobbs has become the champion zealot of bashing "illegal immigration" each night at CNN promoting HR 4437 as the only way of dealing with "Broken Borders" to protect the USA. The only way to stop Lou Dobbs, the raving populist xenophobe, is to invoke "The Achilles heel: AOL."

The number of AOL subscribers is around 30 million. Many of these are US Hispanics, in addition, AOL has a growing percentage of Latin America accounts among new users. To increase market share, AOL is being marketed to the Hispanic/Latino internet community for its ease of use. There are other internet companies that are even easier to use, have faster speeds, and are less expensive. With a national Ax AOL campaign especially among our savvy youth with their ever increasing use of text messaging, IM, and Internet, if Hispanics would drop AOL and move in droves to other internet providers, significant pressure would result causing owners of AOL to realize the only way to re-capture market share would be to remove CNN's Lou Dobbs.

Removing Lou Dobbs off the air would completely disarm the national leader of promoting HR 4437 and would be the most powerful message that could be provided to the Congress, President Bush, 2008 presidential candidates and the entire USA. The demise of Lou Dobbs would be fatal. There would be nowhere for him to land because wherever he surfaced such as FOX, the Ax AOL campaign would follow him by simply changing our name to Ax FOX.

If CNN does not remove Lou Dobbs, we will move to escalate to boycott all CNN corporate sponsors beginning with sponsors of CNN en Espanol. We are approaching $1 Trillion in annual Hispanic purchasing. This is the real strength of Hispanic power.

Hispanic News on April 11 published a new website AxAOL.com which will become the vehicle for getting the message out throughout the USA to boycott AOL.

The Ax AOL Message Center is user friendly and allows for anyone to post a message or a comment. Presently there is no USA website that is coordinating marches, rallies or protests and AxAOL.com could become this vehicle for anyone to post what is happening in their community and to get messages out to everyone in the USA.

To promote Ax AOL throughout the USA, Hispanic News is now selling advertising using Sponsored Links. Buy an ad if you own a business or as an individual use your name. The ads are $299 but donations are welcomed for any amount. Help us make change in the USA by working together to remove Lou Dobbs off the air at CNN. Buying Ax AOL t-shirts is expensive. Hispanic News can not do this by ourselves.

You can also help by emailing everyone in your address book informing them using AOL indirectly pays Lou Dobbs' salary.

Beginning May 1, the next level of marches, rallies, protests will now include Ax AOL. The red Ax AOL t-shirts will become part of the protests. Spread the word that anyone who uses AOL is subsidizing Lou Dobbs' promotion of HR 4437's criminalizing immigrants and anyone who helps them.

We could never directly muzzle Lou Dobbs because the revenue his trashing of Hispanic/Latinos generates for CNN is huge and CNN's revenue belongs to Time Warner.

Like any other segment of society, American or Mexican, the 'latino community' is not as monolithic as these organizers would have us all believe, especially when it comes to being of a single mind on any one issue. There are a number of factors involved in why this proposed 'Ax AOL' boycott will likely be doomed to failure as any educated 'right' thinking citizen knows. Mainly American born 'latino's' by and large are about evenly divided on the illegal alien issue according to all available data and are even ardent supporters of controlled legal immigration.

And then there is the question of so many illegal's sending the bulk of their disposable income / money back to their families in Mexico so where is the available funds to withhold from Time Warner going to come from? With what's left of this segment of that society how do they expect to have that much of an impact, especially after a certain portion of our society increases their support for AOL Time Warner and CNN to help soften the desired goal of the reconquista malcontents? Sounds to me mostly just 'Smoke-n-Mirrors' for their friends in the MSM to exploit for their own benefit to try and keep misleading Americans.
Go Lou! You are doing a superb job!

Lou does have guts. He is being attacked by both parties for his anti-illegal immigration views. A lot of Pro-OBL types of people here on FR also despise him.

I FNC was smart they would create a new Huntley/Brinley team of Lou Dobbs and Britt Hume, they would kill the msm with ratings, but it will never happen.

I noticed that she was wearing hers on the wrong side also. Her pin was so small that you could barely see it. It must have galled her to put it on. Lou Dobbs has so much class when interviewing. He gets his points across in the nicest way. This is the main reason they want to get rid of him.

The only time I remember seeing Lou upset was when Nativo Lopez started calling him names. Lou got hot and you could see it.

Actually Cavuto (0.8 share) marginally out scores Lou Dobbs (0.5 share) by a small percentage. Source - Do a word search for Dobbs, it's near the bottom of page. The O'Reilly Factor is still tops (2.2 share)

Ratings - 4-27-04

Lou needs to cut off the mouth pieces of LaRaza and Reconquista. Since they want him off the air, he should tell them to tell thier tale elsewhere.

I can't stand to see those smiling faces who call Lou, "my friend", while stabbing him in the back.

I just went to the axaol.com website. There's nothing there. It's a redirect. I was hoping I could post on their bulliten board the honest truth, but I imagine they took it down because of too much anti-illegal sentiment.

I like the fact that he gives the other side a chance. He somehow stays above the fray and they always look bad even though they are smiling. You can bet they want to stab him in the back showing desparation on their part.

Did you see this on their web site:

Sensenbrenner wants to build a wall between the USA and Mexico. Now it our turn to build a wall around the Sensenbrenner products and for us not to enter. We need to tell everyone here and everywhere in Latin America to boycott Kimberly Clark products.

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AND THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION

MEXICAN AND AMERICAN BISHOPS HAVE BEEN QUITE SPOKEN FAVORING THE ILLEGAL INMIGRATION TO THE EE.UU., BUT AS FAR AS I KNOW, THEY NEVER CONDEMNED THE MEXICAN SEVERE IMMIGRATION LAWS, MUCH LESS THEY NEVER DARED TO CHALLENGE THE MEXICAN CATHOLICS TO VIOLATE MEXICAN IMMIGRATION LAWS.

Mexico’s Immigration Law: Let’s Try it Here at Home

By J. Michael Waller

Mexico has a radical idea for a rational immigration policy that most Americans would love. However, Mexican officials haven’t been sharing that idea with us as they press for our Congress to adopt the McCain-Kennedy immigration reform bill.

That’s too bad, because Mexico, which annually deports more illegal aliens than the United States does, has much to teach us about how it handles the immigration issue.

Under Mexican law, it is a felony to be an illegal alien in Mexico.

At a time when the Supreme Court and many politicians seek to bring American law in line with foreign legal norms, it’s noteworthy that nobody has argued that the US look at how Mexico deals with immigration and what it might teach us about how best to solve our illegal immigration problem. Mexico has a single, streamlined law that ensures that foreign visitors and immigrants are:

• in the country legally;

• have the means to sustain themselves economically;

• not destined to be burdens on society;

• of economic and social benefit to society;

• of good character and have no criminal records; and

• contributors to the general well-being of the nation.

The law also ensures that:

• immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;

• foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;

• foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country’s internal politics;

• foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;

• foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;

• those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.

Who could disagree with such a law? It makes perfect sense. The Mexican constitution strictly defines the rights of citizens – and the denial of many fundamental rights to noncitizens, illegal and illegal. Under the constitution, the Ley General de Población, or General Law on Population, spells out specifically the country’s immigration policy.

It is an interesting law – and one that should cause us all to ask, Why is our great

southern neighbor pushing us to water down our own immigration laws and policies, when its own immigration restrictions are the toughest on the continent? If a felony is a crime punishable by more than one year in prison, then Mexican law makes it a felony to be an illegal alien in Mexico.

If the United States adopted such statutes, Mexico no doubt would denounce it as a manifestation of American racism and bigotry.

Mexico’s Immigration Law: Let’s Try it Here at Home 2

We looked at the immigration provisions of the Mexican constitution.[1] Now let’s look at Mexico’s main immigration law.

Mexico welcomes only foreigners who will be useful to Mexican society:

• Foreigners are admitted into Mexico “according to their possibilities of

contributing to national progress.” (Article 32)

• Immigration officials must “ensure” that “immigrants will be useful elements for

the country and that they have the necessary funds for their sustenance” and for

their dependents. (Article 34)

• Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upsets “the

equilibrium of the national demographics,” when foreigners are deemed

detrimental to “economic or national interests,” when they do not behave like

good citizens in their own country, when they have broken Mexican laws, and

when “they are not found to be physically or mentally healthy.” (Article 37)

• The Secretary of Governance may “suspend or prohibit the admission of

foreigners when he determines it to be in the national interest.” (Article 38)

Mexican authorities must keep track of every single person in the country:

• Federal, local and municipal police must cooperate with federal immigration

authorities upon request, i.e., to assist in the arrests of illegal immigrants. (Article

73)

• A National Population Registry keeps track of “every single individual who

comprises the population of the country,” and verifies each individual’s identity.

(Articles 85 and 86)

• A national Catalog of Foreigners tracks foreign tourists and immigrants (Article

87), and assigns each individual with a unique tracking number (Article 91).

Foreigners with fake papers, or who enter the country under false pretenses, may be

imprisoned:

• Foreigners with fake immigration papers may be fined or imprisoned. (Article

116)

• Foreigners who sign government documents “with a signature that is false or

different from that which he normally uses” are subject to fine and imprisonment.

(Article 116)

Foreigners who fail to obey the rules will be fined, deported, and/or imprisoned as felons:

• Foreigners who fail to obey a deportation order are to be punished. (Article 117)

• Foreigners who are deported from Mexico and attempt to re-enter the country

without authorization can be imprisoned for up to 10 years. (Article 118)

Mexico’s Immigration Law: Let’s Try it Here at Home 3

• Foreigners who violate the terms of their visa may be sentenced to up to six years in prison (Articles 119, 120 and 121). Foreigners who misrepresent the terms of their visa while in Mexico – such as working with out a permit – can also be imprisoned.

Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony. The General Law on Population says,

• “A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five

thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country

illegally.” (Article 123)

• Foreigners with legal immigration problems may be deported from Mexico

instead of being imprisoned. (Article 125)

• Foreigners who “attempt against national sovereignty or security” will be

deported. (Article 126)

Mexicans who help illegal aliens enter the country are themselves considered criminals under the law:

• A Mexican who marries a foreigner with the sole objective of helping the

foreigner live in the country is subject to up to five years in prison. (Article 127)

• Shipping and airline companies that bring undocumented foreigners into Mexico

will be fined. (Article 132)

All of the above runs contrary to what Mexican leaders are demanding of the United States. The stark contrast between Mexico’s immigration practices versus its American immigration preachings is telling. It gives a clear picture of the Mexican government’s agenda: to have a one-way immigration relationship with the United States.

Let’s call Mexico’s bluff on its unwarranted interference in U.S. immigration policy.

Let’s propose, just to make a point, that the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) member nations standardize their immigration laws by using Mexico’s own law as a model.

CNN is dying anyway... Lou Dobbs needs to make his move to Fox, if he is smart. By the way, McCain-Kennedy isn't what radical illegal activists want, but they know full well that it is unenforceable. It constitutes more placation, more delay, and defacto amnesty as a result of its almost certain failure to stem the tide of the illegal alien invasion.

Of course not - I'm not in favor of anything illegal - except a good beating of Lou Dobbs. :) So, in your opinion, either you have to like Dobbs or be for illegal immigration?? Kind of a silly theory you got goin' there!

"His inaccurate, snide, biased reporting of the Bush administration alone should get him hung."

I see. You think an American citizen should be hung for disagreeing with the Bush administration. Better build a lot of gallows, honey, because a lot of people are going to have to be hung, if that's the criteria you're judging American citizens by. You can add me to the list of people who disagree with Bush on the outsourcing of American jobs and the illegal immigration issue. Should I report to the nearest "purification center" so I can be justly dealt with?

The Hispanic cultures have a much different idea of what free speech is than do Anglo nations such as USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain. As Hispanic nations implode guess where they all want to go? To the Anglo founded United States of America.

Once they get here they want to twist America into an imitation of the failed nations they come from

Seems like your radical attitude could use it.

So I'm a "radical" in your opinion. You were the one calling for an American citizen to be hung just because he had the gall to voice his disagreement with the Bush administration. You sound a lot more like a "radical" than I do.

BTW, if you think being called a "liberal" or a "radical" by the likes of you hurts my feelings, you're sadly mistaken. "Liberal" is the epithet posters throw around with desperation on here when they realize they've run out of arguments to justify their position.

Have a nice night, now, ya hear?
