"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!
Indiana Pence
Hes our favorite fiscally responsible conservative in the House and his outlook for Republicans in November is much brighter than former Speaker Newt Gingrichs warnings. Indiana Congressman Mike Pence weighs in on the GOP agenda in November.
NOLA's Next Mayor
Can the King of Chocolate City weather the storm in the New Orleans mayoral race where many residents remain displaced, despondent or disaffected? Well have the latest from the New Orleans Primary Debates hosted by Hardballs Chris Matthews - You wont want to miss it!
Indictments Near?
The Grand Jury indictments are in but are sealed from the publics access. Racial tensions still run high in a somewhat divided community of well-to-do college kids and lower-income residents. Well go straight to the scene with Raleigh-Durhams radio host Kevin Miller.
It looks like Tony will have a great show...I must miss the first hour due to the demands of work and medicine but I'll be back during the second hour....

As a boy, I never shared my father's enthusiasm for the soil. For several summers he had a little plot of ground in the country where he planted a garden. It provided physical therapy and relaxation for him, as well as a bountifully laden table for family and friends.
Back then, a hand-pushed plow was used to break up the ground, and the initial plowing, therefore, was often difficult. I remember helping my dad load his cultivator into the trunk one day and going with him to his garden. When we arrived, he prepared to make the first furrow while I took the lunch basket and picked a comfortable seat under the shade of an apple tree.
I was totally unsuspecting as I observed my father attach a rope to both handles of the cultivator and make a harness. Soon an unwilling boy was in front of that plow. Dad pushed and I pulledand grumbled. Up one row and down anotherover and over again. How miserable I was doing my duty!
Sometimes when we're asked to serve the Lord in a particular way, we reluctantly accept, but we do so only out of a sense of obligation. When that happens, we need to pray for a willing spirit so that we can "serve the Lord with gladness" (Psalm 100:2). Paul Van Gorder
A willing spirit changes the drudgery of duty into a labor of love.
Good morning, LL. Sorry you will miss the first hour. We'll see if we can't at least report some highlights. Hurry back.
We'll keep the light on for you.
Morning, All
Thank heaven for the massive marches across the country by those favoring illegal immigrants. These marches revealed the ugly truth behind the fog of pious words and clever political spin from the media and from both Democrats and Republicans in Washington. "Guest workers"? Did any of the strident speakers, with their in-your-face bombast in Spanish, sound like guests? Did they sound like people who wanted to become Americans?
Were they even asking for amnesty? They didn't sound like they were asking for anything. They sounded like they were telling. Demanding. Threatening.
Somebody must have told them that their Mexican flags that dominated the earlier marches were not making a good impression on television, so they started flying American flags. But such cosmetic changes did not keep the ugly reality from coming through in their hostile speeches. [Excerpt]
"My suggestion is to figure out which want to be citizens and insist they do what's necessary: Work, learn the language, stay off welfare, obey the laws. The other thing we need to do is to take a hammer to the welfare system, which Democrats are dangling like a big, juicy worm and urging immigrants to snap at the bait so they can become members not of a prosperous society, but a stalled-out underclass. Many of the illegals are potential conservatives and potential Republicans -- they have lower unemployment and crime rates than the public generally, and lots are Catholics with conservative social views. Democrats are actively recruiting them all, knowing that some eventually will become citizens and voters. Conservatives need to work out some strategy for dealing with those who stay.
Sheesh Tony -- are you kidding??
If the illegals are denied citizenship (as they ought NOT), then your Koolade scenario is moot.
Back to school for me, but I get to listen to the first 20 minutes because it is part of my prep period.
I would add this FrontPage article to the illegal debate:
