the traffic is terrible just about everywhere in Hawaii now , on every island. Hawaii needs to institute a 10 year moratorium on ALL new car and prohibit importing any privately as well . This is about the only way the insane automotive
pressure will ever abate . Certainly existing infastructure
cannot handle it now , much less ever more and more cars and trucks in the future.
Ok, so we stayed over at Waimanalo Bay (Bellows) but we had the BEST time. Every time. It was awesome. I'd dreamed of Hawaii all my life and then I got there, it was better than I ever imagined it would be. I didn't care for the crowds on Waikiki, we don't care for city life.
But oh my, the turquoise water, Hanaoma (sp?) Bay, honu, the soft sound of the sea at night.... i could live there and be happy. (and we never went in Feb)
