Not a surprise. Catholics can't use condoms. That explains the affinity for early withdrawl.

Lincoln also rounded up a number of reporters and news paper publishers and put them on Naval Prison Ships off Chesapeake Bay for the duration of the war too.

Oh, how I wish old Abe could be around for a time like this. The NY Times and Washington Posts printing presses would have been confiscated years ago, their editors jailed and now with the leakers/traitors being uncovered, the sounds of the gallows being built could be heard all up and down the east coast.

And you'd be proud of that would you? BTW, that worthless POS was rebuked posthomously for such actions by SCOTUS. But heck, let's round up anyone who disagrees with 'us' shall we?

"They are, in fact, two sides of the very same patriotic coin."

Not so, oh lumpy lips. Your coin is a counterfeit. The two sides of the patriotic coin are action groups and support groups.

"Experience proves that the man who obstructs a war in which his nation is engaged, no matter whether right or wrong, occupies no enviable place in life or history. Better for him, individually, to advocate “war, pestilence, and famine,” than to act as obstructionist to a war already begun."

What's really amazing is the fact that the morons in the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts keep sending Hanoi Kerry and Chappy Kennedy back to the U.S. Senate. Treason, DUI, leaving the scene, vehicular manslaughter, perjury, and obstruction of justice are all qualifications to be a member of the Jackass Party.

ta-pocketa-pocketa-pocketa-pocketa-pocketa, went the the twin engines on John kill em all kerry's boat (real heros have nick names like that). It was a dark and quiet night, John kill em all Kerry turned to his first mate and (in a quiet yet confident voice) said...."it's quiet...too quiet I don't like it.
If only we can get a bit farther up river without getting spotted we'll be able to drop off secret agent x-183".
In the blink of an eye the calm of the night was SHATTERED KAPOW KAPOW WOOOOSH BLAM BLAM the night came alive with a song of DEATH! They had sailed into a clever ambush set by Charlie (John kill em all Kerry's long time foe).
The crew strickened with fear and unable to move turned as one to the one man who had the courage, the skill, the WILL to save them.
John kill em all Kerry like a coiled spring leapped into action (That's what heros like to do in these kind of situations) with a sneer on his lips John kill em all Kerry THRUST the throttle forward and mzzz teraza (hero's like john kill em all Kerry like to have names for their boats) LEAPPED like a mighty stallion BAAATTLE STATIONS he shouted! Waking as from a dream John kill em all kerry's band of brothers charged to their stations.
BUDDA BUDDA BUDDA sang the quad 50s in a tune that sang death and destruction for Charlie and his commie stooges, BRRRRAAAAAPPPP the 60's spat out a curtain of lead, BOOOOM BOOOOM the 300mm mortars adding their song to the aria of war!

Now the dirty commies would pay for DARING to attack John killl em all Kerry and his All American band of brothes! With a ferral grin John kill em all Kerry shouted DIE COMMIE SCUM! (see hero types like John kill em all Kerry say things like that, they teach them that at hero school).

Just when it looked like one more (glorious) victory for John kill em all Kerry and his gallant band of brothers, KABOOOOM sneeky underhanded commie frogmen (and they're the worst kind) had placed a mine (the dirty rotten dastardly Khmer rouge bast*rds) on the sleak and deadly mzzz teraza! In a bat of an eyelash john kill em all Kerry knew his gallant little steed was done for,
Flinging the little mzzz teraza at the nearest nest of vipers John kill em all Kerry CHARGED straight into the muzzels of death.
Afraid? Not he, John kill em all Kerry didn't know the meaning of fear
{fear(Function): noun Etymology: Middle English fer,

The mortally wounded boat rammed into the den of inequity, and leapping from the galllant but doomed craft a 50cal in his right hand his (trusty) M-16 in his left a 5in. cannon strapped to his back John kill em all Kerry LEAPPED into the very heart of the enemy AAAAHHHHHH he cried all the while dealing death to the left and right (hero types do stuff like that all the time, that's why they're hero types)

The (dirty) commies quaked in fear at this (magnificent specimen) All American hero type in a blood lust cried "It's kill em all Kerry! Please don't kill us, John kill em all Kerry would have none of that! Not after their dastardly attack and mortal wounding of his (beloved) mzzz teraza, DIE YOU DIRTY COMMIE RATS, I'LL TEACH YOU TO MESS WITH MASSACHUSETTS!

And oh the carnage the ensued, So terrible was his (awesome but sensitive) wrath that soon after those above him (being jealous of his superior combat skills and the love his band of brothers had for him) sent him back to the good old US of A.

LOL!

Considering that the kindest thing he was called by some papers was "Ape", reporters and publishers maybe should have figured that discretion is the better part of valor and left town for a few days.

Patriot: "A person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and it's interests."

Patriotism: "devoted love, support and defense of one's country; national loyalty."

From Webster's College dictionary.

Senator Kerry; you liberals are no patriots!

Traitor: "1. a person who betrays another, a cause or any trust. 2. a person who commits treason by betraying his or her country."

Taken from same dictionary.

Nufsed!

Feel free to make additions....

Painting ones self orange to woo Florida voters..

That was great, wasn't it? And the drunken midnight press conference, those were the days. Thanks for the memory.

It still scares the hell out of me that Crazy Ol' Al and The Goofy Orange Traitor came as close as they did to winning.

How can someone think they deserve to be president when they can't even tell the truth about whether they spruced up with a little botox or not?

Another Kerry anecdote was when he went to The Frozen Tundra and called Lambeau Field, Lambert Field. Or when he said if he was elected President, his first 100 days would be flying around apologizing for the War on Terror. Still another was the competing Ohio rallies, where Bush's rally blocked roads, gave up on collecting tickets, and had 60,000+ Bush voters waving flags, while Kerry's rally had bussed in union thugs looking dejected and mind numblingly bored at the cadaver on stage droning on. The segment on the news that contrasted the two rallies was priceless. I think it was a Gibson piece..

Thanks for the memory. President Bush came to to our city just prior to the last election. We had tickets but still stood in line 4 hours, in the rain, in August, in Florida just to be close enough to see. I stood on the bleachers and looked back down the streets, at 1000s of shoulder to shoulder people waving flags and cheering for W. It was awesome. My mother in her 70s stood out there with me the whole time and said "it's like he's a rock star" LOL What a great day.

"Did you say gallows?"

For WAAAYYY LESS that the lies the NY TIMES and WaPo have written Lincoln shut the papers down and jailed the editors.

I just wish we weren't acting like panty waists and were as serious about winning this war as Lincoln was about winning his. To wit:

During the Civil War, the Union Army conducted at least 4,271 trials by military commission, which reflected the disorder of the time. Lincoln answered his critics with a reasoned, constitutional argument. A national crisis existed, and in the interest of self-preservation he had to act. At the same time, he realized Congress had the ultimate responsibility to pass judgment on the measures he had taken.

He found the right of self-preservation in Article II, section 1 of the Constitution, whereby the chief executive is required "to preserve, protect and defend" it, and in section 3, that he "take care that the laws be faithfully executed." All of the laws which were required to be "faithfully executed" were being resisted and "failed of execution" in nearly one-third of the states.

Clement Laird Vallandigham, the best-known anti-war Copperhead18 of the Civil War, was perhaps President Lincoln's sharpest critic. He charged Lincoln with the "wicked and hazardous experiment" of calling the people to arms without counsel and authority of Congress, with suspending the writ of habeas corpus, and with "coolly" coming before the Congress and pleading that he was only "preserving and protecting" the Constitution and demanding and expecting the thanks of Congress and the country for his "usurpations of power."

Vallandigham was speaking at a Democratic mass meeting at Mt. Vernon, Ohio, when he was arrested by Major General Ambrose E. Burnside. He was escorted to Kemper Barracks, the military prison in Cincinnati, and tried by a military commission. He was found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment for the duration of the war.

After being denied a writ of habeas corpus, he applied for a writ of certiorari to bring the proceedings of the military commission for review before the Supreme Court of the United States. In the opinion Ex parte Vallandigham,21 his application was denied on the grounds that the Supreme Court had no jurisdiction over a military tribunal.
