Diverse is related to divert--to turn aside, or to distract. That's what diversity can do if mishandled. I hadn't thought of the uni- in universe. It sort of means 'turn to one'. United or whole, maybe. That's what a 'university' is supposed to do, I assume. To unite, to make whole. Today, they are more "diversities" designed to split or distract. They need to get back to E Pluribus Unum, "out of many, one". They need to bring us together.

E Pluribus Unum is cool and I like it because I think it does reflect the US. Just don't expect me to polarize with the commie left. Better dead then Red. That's what I say.
