A Cologne brothel touting for clients with a World Cup-themed banner has blacked out the flags of Iran and Saudi Arabia after threats from Muslims.
The giant banner on a high-rise building shows a semi-naked woman and the flags of the 32 countries in the World Cup, which kicks off in June.
The Pascha brothel's owner, Armin Lobscheid, said a group of Muslims had threatened violence over the advert.
He said they had accused the brothel of insulting Islam by using the flags.
First there were telephone threats of violence, then about 30 hooded protesters armed with knives and sticks turned up outside Pascha on Friday, the Koelner Stadt-Anzeiger newspaper reported.
"The situation was explosive," Mr Lobscheid told the paper.
"Some of the people compared our ad to the Danish Mohammed cartoons," he said, referring to cartoons which sparked violent protests in several Muslim countries in February.
The Tunisian flag - bearing the Muslim crescent symbol - remains on the ad, however.
'Overlooked'
The slogan on the ad reads: "The world is a guest of female friends" - a variant of the official World Cup slogan: "The world is a guest of friends".
Mr Lobscheid said the banner had been commissioned in a normal business deal and "we certainly didn't intend to insult anyone".
He said the significance of the flags' symbols had been overlooked.
Prostitution is legal in Germany, where the authorities are preparing for a possible boom in the sex trade during the World Cup.
Can they remove our flag too? Germans are such deviant weirdos.
Well, on the one hand Muslims being outraged about their flags being on the advert is typical of Muslim outrage.
On the other hand, where is all of the Catholic and Lutheran outrage in Germany that brothels are legal and openly advertise?
Morally, the Muslims are right here and the Christians who in theory predominate in Germany itself are simply moral cowards.

Every hooded muslim who came with weapons to intimidate/kill the owner should be deported permanently. Quickly the muslims would fall in line.

You know there really is something to be said for immediate feedback for wrong doing.
The problem is the guys in the hoods don't show up when there are 100 patriots waiting for them - they strike at the vulnerable to instill fear.
I drove up to Forsyth County Georgia yesterday. There used to be a sign at the county line "N*gger, don't let the sun go down on you in Forsyth County." Those guys came at night in hoods too - same basic principle.

Yeah, no kidding! While "anger" may be too strong a term, it doesn't exactly rub with my morals and I'm not happy about it. The difference between my viewpoint and muslims, I'm not a danger to try to set an entire continent or region into civil upheaval over it all.
I have a simple solution. Transfer the Saudi and Iranian flags onto another banner ad, with a seductively-posed sheep and the motto "Die Welt zu Gast bei Schafen". Give the gentlemen what they want.
Every time we kowtow to these raghead b***ards, it just encourages them to more violence. Sometimes a strong stand will preclude further violence.
