I'm totally just guessing, but I think they'll wait until the President is back at the White House and do it from the Press Room. That would be respectful for The President, Scott, and Tony.
His colleagues stabbed him in the back because he was a whiney jerk about that whole incident. He should have stood up and just said "I have nothing to apologize for and I resent the implication of racism from a bunch of politicians who are always looking for a way to destroy their opponents. If anyone needs to apologize it the democrats for insulting my integrity." Ya think we'll ever hear a republican that has the stones to say something like that? Not very likely. I agree about McConnell. I want some "take no prisoners" leaders. Of course, based on past history with the republicans, he would disappoint too.
There are times I almost feel sorry for Nelson. Even if he was saying something intelligent, it wouldn't sound like it.
:)
But we don't really cover politics so much...
Good morning, RP. Since Tony's not with you, I'm assuming he's answering an "important call."
I'm always wary of CNN's reporting but our Snowman's absence has me giving it more consideration.
Talk about a bittersweet victory! Now, I just hope Bush LISTENS to him!
Let's start a campaign to get John on hre. :-)
Brian's a sweetie, but John is so much smoother. Brian will be too, in 10 years.
God go with you, Tony. Heaven knows we need you in that press room.

I love Brian. He is so funny. And he has been so nice for filling in for Tony.
How about they just use this one?
I can't afford one .. besides I just bought a car 2 years ago .. and have a 7 year mortgage to go along with it
What is congress going to buy us all cars next?
Please exucse the typo...
Can't type Tony's name correctly with Kleenex up to my eyes. :-/

Don't know
I'm cubicle-bound, so what Brian is it that's filling in today?
Does Brian freep? I do like him.
2-5PM ET is an awful time slot for me to listen in...kids getting home from school, family demands, etc., and I can't plug myself into my laptop. I'll certainly try, though. :-)
That is exactly what I was expecting, given the innocuous nature of his remark. Instead, he went on BET and apologized for the umpteenth time over nothing.
I'm sure your guest pass is in the mail! lol
What kind of perfume will you be wearing? Gonna ask Helen to join you for lunch afterwards?

I try to cut all of them a little slack. With the Unanimous Consent rules of the Senate, I'm sure the job is literally like herding cats since any one Senator can bollux something up. Still, ours seem to lose their *ahem* stones more than DUmmies. I just remember George Mitchell always getting his stuff through. Same with LBJ. And Tom Daschle was such a weasel. So...I just want to seem them not caving. Yeah, Trent was a "whiney jerk" but the way they did the Thurmond thing was so egregious...but I agree he should have said "I'm proud of what I said".
