Once the Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return, once we realize that our five-hundred-year experiment in narcissism finally reaches the verge of collapse, only then will a true conservatve movement arise and restore Western civilization.

Can I ask why you date the start of the experiment at 500 years ago? Is it linked to the theological developments of the Reformation, or something else?

Primaries mean nothing to Californians, Texans, Floridians and the rest of Super Tuesday voters when the choices are predetermined by Iowa and New Hampshire a month before. In 2000, the field was reduced from a dozen to two by the time I got a shot at voting. The primaries are broken.

Don't they have primaries for House and Senate where you live?

Sure. Up against the abysmal Barbara Boxer, the CAGOP supported their fair haired boy, Jones, right up to the primary, while attacking the more conservative candidates (much like MNJonnie does here). Then, after Jones won the primary, they abandoned him as well. I didn't see so much as a lawn sign or a bumper sticker from Jones, let alone a TV spot such as Boxer flooded the air with.

Reps? CA is gerrymandered to five decimal places. Not one seat changed hands last election. If the incumbent wants the job and doesn't pull a Duke Cunningham, it's a sinecure.

How about State office. Did you catch the details of the recall election, where the CAGOP flying monkeys did everything but tar and feather the conservative candidates in their Arnold hero worship? And now, of course, the CAGOP has decided to forgo a primary for Governor this go around, so Arnold gets a gimme.

I say again, the primaries are broken.

Notice that Johnnie hasn't replied at all. Post and run Johnnie.

(Not bothering to ping him, 'cause he never replies.)

Voting for a third party is stupid. I hate the Republicans big-spending ways and their pandering on illegal aliens. But we were close to announcing the death of the Democratic party after the election in 2004. The Democratic party is fighting an even bigger internal debate about which way to go. Let's stay the course and punish the Democrats until they kick out the loony left. Then we can kick out the RINOs and the logrollers.

Well said. It is essential, to our very survival, that the Democrats continue to be relentlessly punished electorally for their now 35 year long embrace of the extreme left. All other considerations must be secondary and subservient to this. Only when, say, Noam Chomsky is a disreputable as David Duke will it be safe to punish Pubbies in a manner that might favor the fortunes of Democrats.
