A congresswoman's son and three Democratic campaign workers were sentenced Wednesday to four to six months in jail for slashing tires outside a Bush-Cheney campaign office on Election Day 2004.

The men pleaded no contest in January to misdemeanor property damage. A fifth worker was found not guilty.

"This case had to be a public example of what can happen when you interfere with voters' rights," said Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Michael Brennan, who rejected prosecutors' recommendation of probation for the four men.

A little justice for the Milwaukee DemonRat tire slashers. New tires are EXPENSIVE. I just put four new Michelins on my Navigator @ $246/tire.

I commend Judge Brennan for his actions, but I've never thought that highly of him. But Milwaukee Judge Christ T. Seraphim was a jerk.

What, you drive one of those demon SUVs?
How do you live with yourself?
What do your friends say?
[sarc off]

I'm just surprised a judge in liberal Milwaukee sentenced them to any time whatsoever.

Not only do a drive a DEMON SUV; there's a loaded .357 in its glove compartment. I've been warned that the SUV and the .357 might conspire to go out and murder a whole school yard full of innocent children, so I have to watch them constantly.

9 months and a $10,000 fine...unless they were conservatives engaged in violating the voting rights of a minority.......that's a hanging offense and good for a year's front page news.....

I read the complete article in a Wis. newspaper. They plea bargained it down from a felony to a misdemeanor.

That might explain some of the "light" sentences.

What do we expect from any judge in a Democratic controlled state when they are judging "offspring" of a
fellow Democrat.
