Cuba is only 90 or so miles off Florida. I'd imagine the 45 miles isn't a coincidence, being half of 90.

What happened to our 200K territorial exclusion zone?The waters between Cuba and Florida are an exception. On both the east and west coast shorelines and the Gulf, the "border" extends out to 200 miles.

LOL, that was the first thing that came to my mind. A little "slant well drilling" to see if there is oil on our side of the line.
I am sure for considerations, they can find out from the oil companies who wanted to drill off Florida, but can't, where they think our oil is located offshore. - tom
