---The big lie being told is, "These folks are doing the jobs Americans refuse to do." --- It is not a lie if those higher paying construction jobs are being filled by illegal Mexicans. Do you think Americans are applying for those jobs at that pay rate and getting turned down?

Yes, specifically he has refused to enforce the law as it currently reads or to protect our national borders. What would you call it? What does he have to do to convince you; Invite the Mexican Army to parade in DC?

It's time to wake up and realize Bush IS A MODERATE.A real "moderate" would secure the borders, deport felonious illegals, etc., before he proposed a mass amnesty. A "moderate" would hear the outrage of American citizens. Bush is frightenly "liberal" when it comes to giving our country away to.

Last train out for the GOP, new party on the horizon: Patriot Party, anti-americans and bushbots not welcome.

I favor no amnesty. I want citizenship - for Americans, period!

Bush ran on the Iraq war and won on the Iraq war in 2000?
Your knowledge of history is a little off.

"Are you saying President Bush is committing treason?" Can you interpret the Constitution of the United States in a way that he is not?
To: narby
"Bush ran on "normalization" with illegal mexicans in 2000. I'm only amazed that his base forgot about it or thought he didn't mean it. Bush never says anything he doesn't mean."
That was 2000. The game changed on 9/11/01.

It's time to wake up and realize Bush IS A MODERATE, and in the end no one wants a moderate leader. AP gives you unnamed sources "and in the end" you take it.
To: Mo1
The people here who are believing the Washington Compost are the same ones who think that Lou Dobbs is the second coming of Ronald Reagan.
They'll believe anything so as long as the source either gives them cause to bash the President or says what they want to hear about immigration. If it does both, then it is like Christmas morning.

"President Bush generally favors plans to give millions of illegal immigrants a chance at U.S. citizenship without leaving the country, but does not want to be more publicly supportive because of opposition among conservative House Republicans,..."
Oh gee!! Wonder how they came to that brilliant conclusion! What does he have to do - come over and hit them in the head with a baseball bat?!!
They actually had to have a meeting to find out that he favors plans to give millions of illegal immigrants a chance at U.S. citizenship without leaving the country?

Please enlighten us and show us where Bush specifically called for Amnesty for illegals.

The Perpetually P*ssed Off Crowd just looks for excuses to start another Bush bash. If the Dan Rather National Guard Story came out today, they would probably defend Rather and say Bush was a deserter.

So true. As the old saying goes, the politician in the middle of the road gets run over by both sides.
