No, but the Arabs do. It doesn't matter that the rest of the Muslims don't, and this is precisely what this latest Muslim-on-Muslim attack is about. The Arabs are reminding everybody else of their essential superiority.
If the vast majority of Muslims don't believe in Arab racial superiority, how can it be a fundamental assumption of Islam?
One of Tom Tancredo's pet projects.
Mohammed was an Arab, and the location of Mecca and many other important things in Islam give Arabs a conviction of racial superiority. They have always had this attitude, and many Muslim regimes have been destroyed by attacks from Arab Muslims, who are more "orthodox" (that is, violent and anti-intellectual) than some of the non-Arab cultures that Islam managed to overtake. In sub-Saharn Africa, blacks have always been the target of Arabs, even if the blacks in question were Muslim.
If you got rid of all the Muslims in the Sudan, there wouldn't be a food shortage.
A similar argument can be made about Protestants in America. Do you agree with those who say that Christianity in the Western Hemisphere is fundamentally based on the racial superiority of Europeans?
They were commies during the famine in the early 80s. I remember it well. I was a leftie, and wrote a letter to President Reagan about it, and received a reply (I implied I was a Republican, and it would be a noble thing for the US to help a client state of the USSR).
