If there is no exculpatory evidence, and there is matching DNA evidence, I can't see what's so terrible with increasing the dose of sodium pentothal.

Can't we just use what the liberals in Holland use to euthanize the old people.

Tall trees and short pieces of rope are the most efficient and economical way of purging society of such scum, and leaving the bodies to swing until the sun goes down serves as a deterrent effect on any like minded criminal types, especially if that body swinging is broadcast on the nightly news.

The animals (I refuse to refer to the examples in this article as 'humans') who are now whining about "cruel and unusual punishment" have no moral justification and absolutely no right whatsoever to be appealing on the grounds that an execution might cause them some discomfort or pain, because discomfort and/or pain is EXACTLY what they deserve as they approach their encounter with the Grim Reaper, an encounter their crimes have earned them.

Here it is straight from the 5th Amendment:

nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; ...without due process of Law.

This statement presupposes the fact that a justly derived Government has the right and the duty to impose a sentence which deprives the guilty their very life. As long as the accused is given all Due Process under the rest of the Constitution there's nothing inherently 'cruel' about killing a legally condemend person.

"In which case, the murderers might have felt themselves asphyxiating after being injected with pancuronium and as well as an intense burning sensation in their veins as the potassium chloride flowed toward their hearts."

No sympathy from me. Like the man said, "If lethal injection is good enough to end the suffering of a beloved pet, it's probably too good for a premeditated murderer."

You can't actually "violate" any felons rights..they tell you as soon as you are convicted. You have forfietted your rights.

I tend to be a bit old testament myself, in that I would execute the victim publicly, in the same manner, only slower, that he committed the murder.

I.E. The woman in N.Carolina, that rolled her kids into the lake to drown. I would have welded her into that car on a public square inserted a garden hose and left her while it filled up.

True punishment would stop alot of the crime in this country.

On January 8, 1981...

Reading the rest of that paragraph made me see red. Lethal injection be damned. The POS should get the chair.
