Why haven't Cargill and Tyson been raided already? Pretty obvious they knowingly hire illegals.

Might have something to do with campaign contributions made by those companies. It's just a guess of an explanation.

However, the problem in 2001 was if this case had gotten to the Supreme Court it would have been turned back or our side would have lost in the court.

I don't understand why you're targeting 2001, we passed the Proposition in 1994. And Pfaelzer's decision would have been reviewed by a 3 judge federal appeals court, not the supremes.

Pfaelzer and Davis didn't share your confidence that higher courts would back her decision, otherwise they wouldn't have entered into their little subversion of the electorate. They simply would have let the appeals court validate her decision. They deliberately prevented this review process from proceeding.

I would like to believe that there will be a massive backlash by Americans against this stuff. However, I just don't see it happening. Most Americans are too apathetic to do anything. Millions of Americans will still party on cinco de mayo, millions of Americans will still vacation in Mexico this summer, millions of Americans will still go about their lives oblivious to what is happening. The only way I see most Americans come to the realization that we are in fact being invaded, with increasing violence, is when it's too late to actually do anything meaningful about it; when it directly affects THEM. It will take alot more than just the likes of us who come to sites like this to stop the invasion. Those who don't follow and understand current events are far too concerned with who the next American Idol is going to be to be bothered with anything that will require some sacrifice and effort. Add to this a ruling political class that ignores or sidesteps the issue, and you have a recipe for a future calamity.

Bottom line, Americans, for the most part, have become way too complacent and are firmly entrenched in the "it can't happen here, so why worry about it" mentality. Decades of apathy is not easily shed, because apathy is easy.

I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, just trying to tell it like it is. Now the question is what, if anything, can be done about it.

Of course, I may be wrong (wouldn't be the first time), and I hope I am.

"I was watching a newscast and noticed a young man giving a sign to a marcher and collecting money for it. Do the sell the protest signs?"

I didn't actually see a man pass money to the person giving him the sign, but the news I was watching showed a big barrel with money in it and said that was for people to contribute. I wondered what they were contributing to, so it probably was for the cost of ALL the professional signs.

One of the sponsers was UNITE HERE which is a service union and you know you must pay union dues. :-)

"This is the picture on Drudge's front page."

You mean Drudge can't tell a PHOTO SHOPPED picture. Look at the guys arm. It is obvious it is stuck in there from somewhere else.

Thanks Dallas.

My headlines page indicate the number of replies but not views. Is there a preference setting that allows for this option?

OH NO - not my tomatoes!

I bought tomatoes grown in the U.S.A. on May 1.

Bought a bunch of other stuff made in U.S.A. on May 1.

No "hecho in Mexico" til the end of the year at least now.

Also have continue my effort to greatly reduce "made in China" buying. "Do I really need this?"
"Do I really want to send them money to buy oil on the world market and drive up our gasoline prices?

cant win for losing...

if you eat out, you're funneling money to illegals, and foreign countries (produce)

if you find place that is "local" they are probably "organic" as well...and they probably have an uber liberal owner
