Top Dem denies she played the race card
Union Leader ^ | May 3, 2006 | John DiStaso

A leading African-American Democrat last night denied she invoked race in a fight between New Hampshire and the Democratic National Committee in a commentary she wrote for a Capitol Hill newspaper.

Veteran party strategist Donna Brazile wrote in Roll Call that potential candidates who back the Granite State’s effort to preserve its primary’s traditional role are insensitive to the concerns of minority voters in other regions of the country.

She referred to voters in mostly white New Hampshire and Iowa as “the privileged few.”

We aren't diverse enough to be allowed to hold the earliest primary. Diversity is paramount.

Last I looked, anybody who wanted to was free to move either to New Hampshire or Iowa. Of course, they'll be expecting you to work for a living when you get there!

So the selection of John Kerry by the Democrats was too heavily influeced by New Hampshire...um, because they are too white? Is this their logic?

I expect if New Hampshire were more diverse then Al Sharpton would have gotten the nomination...if only.

Rush said yesterday that this country will never be able to shake one of the sins of our past; Slavery. The Libs will alway use this as a crutch.

Diversity is such a load of crap. And you can bet that those who spew about diverisity all the time are really only interested in a certain kind of diversity and will aggressively dismiss any other competing notions of diversity.

Suffice it to say that I roll my eyes every time I hear the word used as an adjective that is supposed to reflect a positive quality, especially when its coming from an academic.

Right. Whenever I think of New Hampshire, I always remember that huge African-American population throughout the state. (rolls eyes)

Ah ... yes. “The privileged few”.

That must be a reference to the many of us who are comfortable in our skin.

Funny, I always thought there were more of us.

I do not believe that slavery "was one of the sins of our past". At most it was an oversight due to practicality of deadlines.

Once it was actually addressed, it was rejected. The ones who refused to reject slavery were shot out of existence (the confederacy) at the cost of hundreds of thousands of lives.

How many monuments are there from the black community that pay homage and give thanks to those who died to catch them up to speed with the U.S. Constitution?

Where is the gratitude?

Gratitude for what? Being Brought to this country instead of being left to starve and kill each other in Africa? For being better off than Negroes in any other country in the world? For being given jobs they dont qualify for in an affirmative action program? For being given small business minority loans? Gratitude? Hardly.

Play that race card Donna baby, its served you well your whole life and though people are getting a little tired of seeing it, its tattered and torn , it still works in a game with liberals who dont know any better or are burdened with a guilt complex. It also works great with rich boys like Kennedy and Kerry who have been using you and you brethren for years and giving you squat.

Say it again Democrats: "NEW HAMPSHIRE IS TOO WHITE FOR THE FIRST IN THE NATION PRIMARY". Diversity? Ya right. The only white males the Democrats care about are the ones they want to elect.

BTW, WHAT"S WRONG WITH BEING WHITE?
