citing a program with spain where the guest worker has a TWO YEAR CONTRACT AND THEN MUST RETURN HOME.

These people talk of guest worker with NO citizenship at the end. IOW there is no kennedy/mccain bs of citizenship amnesty.

Guest means guest!

These countries look at it as a means of relieving their unemployement problems.

thanks for the heads up!

This whole issue has my bp up. I don't think anything is going to change, in fact, I think our D.C. leadership is going to make decisions that will only make it worse. What I see happening....(unless there is a Revolucion)

In the end, D.C. will settle for a 'virtual' border and maybe a few more patrols because they don't want to offend by putting up a wall. They'll say it's too expensive. Democrats, catholic church, latino organizations will all push for this. Though we will be reassured this is an improvement, nothing will really change.

The current 'green card' program will be tweaked and have a name change to 'guest worker' program. Illegals who are 'earning their amnesty' will no longer be considered 'illegal'.

Laws will be passed making the hiring of 'illegals' a "federal offense" with jailtime and huge fines, but since workers are no longer considered 'illegal', there will be no more raids, arrests, catch & releases, and the employers will go unpunished for their employment, letting them completely off the hook for any previous employment of illegals. Companies like Tyson will never be punished.
