Thanks for posting the news, BladeLWS! I haven't posted a thread in a long time and was hoping someone would start one. It hadn't shown up in breaking news the last time I checked.

Does anyone have the tiniest doubt what it'll be? The only reason I can see for keeping him alive would be if they were planning a one-time suspension of the 8th amendment.

Sad, but more people were interested in the verdict of the OJ case than they are in this one.
To: Ernest_at_the_Beach
I wonder if FOX Radio News will announce it with the same siren sound effects they have been using since Day Uno of the trial. :)

OXEN, the Moussaoui case won't go thru the 9th Circuit; the 4th Cir. is a whole lot faster and more or less sane. Maybe only 10-12 years !

I hope for less than the death penalty.
The death penalty brings special status, automatic appeals, puts him in the world spotlight. . .
Let him rot in solitary for the rest of his natural life.

Expect him to get the same high end lockup as the Unabomber, McVeigh, and the 1993WTC bombers.
Doubtful if he would get knifed in general population. Who do you think he is? Jeffrey Dahmer?

Does it matter? Even if it's the death penalty, many of us will ourselves have passed on by the time it's carried out 20 years from now. Our "justice" system likely makes al Queda snicker.

How about the ultimate reality show based kind of on Survivor? Put him on an island with all kinds of pitfalls just sit back, munch popcorn and laugh at the fool for earning such a penalty.
On second thought, NAH, he needs to hang. Right after the verdict is read.

the wait, about an hour, allows all necessary parties to be there .. attorneys for both sides in particular. The attorneys get a call at their offices and are told to be at the courthouse for the reading of the verdict.

Could be confusion why M pleaded guilty to a crime he didn't commit.
Or don't want to give the Government a victory in its absurd scapegoating of M for all their own failures.
