I doubt that the illegals wages are as much as the Americans were 20 years ago. (But we can have cheaper houses). You don't get a cheaper (less expensive) house. You get a cheaper (poorer quality) house. The builder sells at the current market rate and pockets a better profit margin on the cheap labor.

I am disappointed in Craig. He has changed and waffled IMHO. The education initiative he put forward for the children of illegal aliens was disgusting to me...in essence he is trying to normalize them here, which of ocurse will only encourage more and more of them to come.
I will not vote for any candidate who supports the continued violation with impunity of our borders, our soveriegnty, and our laws, and/or then tries to come up with some legaleze that makes them legal.
The current bill coming out of the Senate is a travesty and I pray the House holds the line against it. As it is, I will oppose those senators who support the bill and do all in my power to see them defeated and replaced by true, patriotic statesmen who will fill their most basic responsibility as federal representatives, ensuring that our borders and soveriegnty remain inviolate.

His firearms bills very nearly became a platform for a renewed assault weapons ban after the anti-gun types started plastering amendments on. Frist has no control of his majority. The left is free to screw with any bill offered. Craig almost screwed the pooch. Fortunately he withdrew the bill after it was severely damaged by lefty amendments.
I have to get out and vote today. I've been tied down since 9:30 this morning waiting for a plumber to return a call to install a replacement water heater. I may just have to tolerate another day of cold showers to ensure that I get to the voting booth.

I'm headed over at 6PM. Sali will get my vote...and Thayne here for State Senate. Luna seems best for Education. Otter will win the governor, but I may vote for the older gentlemen as a protest on some of Otter's non-responses (he's generally pretty good though).

I voted for Otter in spite of the non-responses. Adamson is nearly identical in position, but doesn't have any track record. Otter will win easily over Jerry Brady...the likely choice for the rats. I like Luna and his track record. Smylie strikes me as a hand picked union boot licker. If I was on your side of the state, Sali would be my vote. Simpson ran unopposed here.
There wasn't a Republican running for coroner. Seems the Democrats have a lock on dealing with the dead and their votes.
