MEMO TO FED-UP ALIENS: FEEL FREE TO GO HOME (boycott sends message of anarchy)
NY POST ^ | 5/4/06 | EDITORIALS

Posted on 05/04/2006 8:40:48 AM PDT by Liz

**** I am outraged that persons illegally in our country are determined to change its laws....Fairfield, Conn.

**** On May 1.....there was not one nationally recognizable, elected political official speaking on behalf of amnesty. Even super-panderers Kennedy, Schumer and Clinton, high-profile speakers the last time, were nowhere to be found. East Setauket

**** Illegal immigrants are out of control and, sadly, are causing upset within our country......enough is enough. If they're not happy with the way we do business in the US, they should go home...... Illegal aliens work off the books, drive around without auto insurance and licenses and take jobs away from our youth and seniors. Illegal immigrants have plenty of rights here, including the right to leave anytime they feel unappreciated and unloved. Baldwin

**** It behooves me to ask if all of these illegal immigrants ever made these myriad demands and protested en masse in their native countries.......West Babylon

**** .......every immigrant in this country who has not reported to our government is violating our rule of law......How can we allow people whose loyalties lie in a foreign country rule our country? The greatest threat to our national identity is the fact they are demanding to vote. Oklahoma City

**** A country with 15 millon illegal aliens living and working within its borders is anything but secure. A country that grants citizenship to anyone born on its soil is anything but secure......... Everyone in the world knows this country is a free lunch. San Francisco, Calif.

****The immigrant-work boycott sends the message that there is only one thing they will be satisfied with - anarchy. They want no rules, no accountability and to be free to cross our borders without restriction...... Bayside

The greatest threat to our national identity is the fact that illegals are demanding to vote.

Illegals threating that they will vote against legislators who do not grant them amnesty is against the law. Intimidating, threatening, or coercing, or attempts to intimidate, threaten, or coerce, a US elected official, violates federal law.

Looks like the backlash is well under way. I just hope Washington is listening and learning from this.

Unless accompanied by a sizable "campaign contribution" or bribe.

From one person's letter:

They say we can't get rid of 12 million of them, so let's get rid of five million over the next two or three years and then worry about the rest later.

Sounds like a good start to me. :=)

And here is a little advice to these folks from a very great American, TR:

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Theodore Roosevelt indeed wrote these words, but not in 1907 while he was still president. The passages were culled from a letter he wrote to the president of the American Defense Society on January 3, 1919, three days before Roosevelt died.

"Americanization" was a favorite theme of Roosevelt's during his later years, when he railed repeatedly against "hyphenated Americans" and the prospect of a nation "brought to ruins" by a "tangle of squabbling nationalities."

He advocated the compulsory learning of English by every naturalized citizen. "Every immigrant who comes here should be required within five years to learn English or to leave the country," he said in a statement to the Kansas City Star in 1918. "English should be the only language taught or used in the public schools."

He also insisted, on more than one occasion, that America has no room for what he called "fifty-fifty allegiance." In a speech made in 1917 he said, "It is our boast that we admit the immigrant to full fellowship and equality with the native-born. In return we demand that he shall share our undivided allegiance to the one flag which floats over all of us."

I just hope Washington is listening and learning from this.

The dimwits haven't listen for years and they are still deaf. We should dump the whole lot next time they are up for election.

Oh they are listening they are ignoring it as well but they are listening the only true way to get them to listen will be to tar and feather them and run them out of town on a rail !

As far as learning they can't learn anything remember they are the smartest people in the world at least in their eye's.

I got a letter from the RNC yesterday asking for a check.
Responded with, "Start enforcing our immigration laws, then get back with me."
More for the NRA, and FR, of course.

Even members of Congress ususally found in the Hyphenate-Fellate position (sucking-up voting blocs and campaign bucks) have awakened to the fact that anti-amnesty is a consensus issue that cuts across the political spectrum.

"There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism.... A hyphenated American is not an American at all... Americanism is a matter of the spirit, and of the soul...The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans...each preserving its separate nationality.... The men who do not become Americans and nothing else are hyphenated Americans.... There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American."Theodore Roosevelt

**** On May 1.....there was not one nationally recognizable, elected political official speaking on behalf of amnesty. Even super-panderers Kennedy, Schumer and Clinton, high-profile speakers the last time, were nowhere to be found. East Setauket

The protest began with a rally at Union Park on the city's west side where Democratic Senator Barack Obama spoke of the need to "lift people out of the shadows" onto a path towards citizenship.

"To those who think we can simply close off the borders and deport, let me say this: there is no reason to fear people who have come here for the same reason as generations of Americans," he said from a stage set up on the back of a Teamsters union truck. "They want a better future for their children."

The National Voter Registration Act, commonly known as the Motor Voter law, signed into law May 20, 1993 after passage by the slimmest of margins allows millions of non-citizens---- and illegal aliens----to be automatically registered to vote when they apply for driver's licenses or welfare benefits.

The Motor-Voter clearly states that "[e]ach State motor vehicle driver's license application (including any renewal application) submitted to the appropriate State motor vehicle authority under State law shall serve as an application for voter registration with respect to elections for Federal office unless the applicant fails to sign the voter registration application."

The Clinton Administration applied their famous "don't ask -- don't tell" strategy to the Motor Voter law's implementation by warning Motor Vehicle Department employees not to ask if an applicant is a citizen or tell them that non-citizens cannot vote.

This must be repealed.
