Right now, today, right away, please respond by taking these easy steps:

CALL ARNOLD: Use today's bad news to spur you to righteousness. Call Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (even if you've called before) at any of his offices. If basic history is incomplete without explicit mention of people's sexual proclivities, why stop with just the homos?

Where is the seperate chapter for historical figures who preferred blondes, or dressed their wives up as schoolgirls, or liked pink lingerie better than white?

This enforced invisibility can't stand!

Patient Zero (the Air Canada steward responsible for the early AIDS infestation) gets my vote for the gay who contributed the most to American society.

Doubt he'll make the text-books, though.

As I have said on previous posts.....anal cancer is on the horizon for those who engage in anal sex. Those in the gay community are aware of it's rising occurrence. Most of the general public has no idea. The rectum/anus was designed for elimination only.

I've heard about Bayard Rustin. I heard that Dr. King kept him more in the background in the civil rights movement because he was gay. After all, this was before "Stonewall" and "celebrating diversity", and Dr. King was afraid of the negative publicity that Rustin could attract.

So, Does this mean that this icon, Dr. Martin Luther King, was "homophobic"?????? Should we revoke the King holiday because King didn't believe in celebrating diversity when he had the chance to do so? Should he be reviled because he didn't mention homosexuals in the "I Have A Dream" speech??????

Yep, got to take the good and the bad. This patient zero was single handedly responsible for thousands of AIDS cases, as he was very active with thousands of known partners, and then the partners of those others were infected.................

The is to be expected when the ACLU and Darwinism control the decisions of what is acceptable to be taught in the public schools.

The fruitless pursuit of Dobie Gillis is at the root of Kuehl's problems.

Sheila James Kuehl as Zelda Gilroy
Zelda Gilroy chased Dobie for four seasons, but Dobie only wanted Thalia Menninger - - - or Aphrodite Millican, or Giselle Hurlbutt, or - - - well you get the idea, anybody but Zelda! Nevertheless, Dobie did have at least an unconscious weakness for Zelda that visibly manifested itself whenever Zelda wrinkled her nose at Dobie: He always involuntarily wrinkled back, immediately protesting, "Now cut that out!" Sheila James Kuehl left acting to become an attorney. She is now a Democratic Assemblywoman in California and a well-known champion of gay rights.

Calif. Senate committee OKs bill to add gays, lesbians to textbooks

Paraphrased and added to from something I just recently posted on another topic discussion:

It appears that the California Senate is skipping a step by assuming and declaring an innate "homosexual" status exists...

Hopefully someone will legally chalenge this non scientific assumption...

Regardless legal challenges yet made, one aspect premising the issue is comprised of physical scientists who can not yet identify or measure ANYTHING physical that establishes innate homosexuality.

Another aspect premising the issue is comprised of psychologists (pseudo scientists) who authoritatively declare there is NOTHING psychologically different (disordered) differentiating heterosexuals and homosexuals...

It would appear that reconciling the "science" from both sides of the house, the experts comprising both physical science and psychology, would necessarily lead one to an inescapable leftist enraging conclusion -- there are no homosexuals but ONLY homosexual activities...

As such, the textbooks if factual, would refer to individuals who contributed to society and at some point in their life engaged in whatever flavor of homosexual activity. This begs the question: "which homosexual activity has produced the most benefits for society?"

The question is WHY do the leftists want to turn educational materials into a pseudo version of the National Enquirer to educate children in gossip about those that may or may not have engaged in whatever homosexual activity? IT seems as if there is some kind of agenda? LOL

Supporters argued that all students should be made aware of the role that gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people have made

Will AID's be included in those lessons?

"Is this important to the text? Is it important to history?"

In answer to your question: no.

A person's sexual orientation is irrelevant in the context of accomplishment or historical reference. This bill is an example of social engineering and indoctrination, pure and simple.

I believe it may violate families rights to instruct their children according to their own values/religious beliefs. Homosexuality is seen as a sin in the Christian, Muslim and Jewish faiths. If the state expects religion to stay out of the state, then the state should stay out of religion.

I would say it's a lead pipe cinch there were no Christians on that committee.

Well then you'd be wrong. Bill Morrow, Jeff Denham, and Able Maldonado are true Christians. (Committee membership below)

Senator Jack Scott (Chair)
Senator Abel Maldonado (Vice-Chair)
Senator Elaine Alquist
Senator Jeff Denham
Senator Alan Lowenthal
Senator Bill Morrow
Senator Gloria Romero
Senator Joe Simitian
Senator Nell Soto
Senator Jackie Speier
Senator Tom Torlakson

I always keep my Texas real estate agent on speed dial. If it was time for me to move away from Cali., that is exactly where I would go.

Some shoplifters have done some good things, I am sure. Theives have done good things too, and I suspect even murderers have done some good things, so why do we just not add them to the book?
