Let's not delude ourselves about what is going on: In the Middle East, Europe, America and elsewhere, a campaign of violence and intimidation is being waged. We have not yet begun to fight back. Instead, we've dressed up our fears as sensitivity, attempted to appease those who threaten and kill, while allowing ourselves to be cowed into self-censorship. Surely, we know where this road leads.

In the last century, Nazis and Communists attempted to extinguish freedom. We fought back. Now, there are new bullies on the block. There is no guarantee that if we fight again we will win again. But if we don't fight, defeat is inevitable.

Naw, they are really our friends. They want to be our pals. They want to come over for beers and pizza and watch the World Cup on da tube. They want to hunt, fish, ski, hang with us. They love us. They want to be part of us. They want a house in the burbs, with a Ford 150 and Chevy Ray in the garage. They are our friends. They love western things. They love Jews, Christians, and Mormons. They are just misunderstood. The liberals understand them. The communist understand them. The democrats understand them. We just don't. We are too misunderstanding of a people who simply wants to wipe us off the face of the map. Naw, they are our pals.
