TIKRIT, Iraq, May 6, 2006 – Soldiers from Task Force Band of Brothers killed three terrorists in a firefight near Samarra, Iraq, on May 4, and three other terrorists were detained in the incident, military officials in Iraq reported yesterday. Working a tip from a local citizen, troops with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, apprehended three individuals known to have planted roadside bombs. As the soldiers began to leave the area with the detainees, they were attacked with small-arms fire from a nearby rooftop. The troops suppressed the rooftop fire, entered the building, and killed the three attackers, officials said.

An Iraqi citizen was injured during the firefight, but still provided the soldiers with information about the rooftop terrorists. Officials said.

No coalition forces were injured.

Got that right, Pop. Wire tie thingies are for drunken frat boys, not religious zealots who take up arms against the USA.

I so honor the sacrifice of your son and his fellow Marines.
And add my prayers every day to millions of others that we'll do them proud.

It can never be enough, but Thank You so much.

I love a happy story! But this last part will never see the light of day in the MSM.

An Iraqi citizen was injured during the firefight, but still provided the soldiers with information about the rooftop terrorists. Officials said.

No coalition forces were injured.
