Would-be Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi all but ruled out launching impreachment hearings against President Bush on Sunday, saying that if Democrats take over the House in November she'd make that decision and not Michigan Rep. John Conyers, who would assume control of the House Judiciary Committee.

May I suggest a slight change to your tagline?
How about "I fear for my country due to the influence of Marxists ON people who lead the GOP"?

It would be good for the GOP to be out of power a couple of years. Maybe someone in Washington can read my tagline. You're on the dark side, friend. You put up this same post in September, to Jim Robinson, and see what reaction you get.

IIRC, those "committee hearings" were broadcast via closed circuit TV to DNC headquarters, and during the broadcast, Palestinian apologists were working the crowd, passing out "Death to Israel!" literature. I do remember that Dana Milbank of the Compost just totally trashed Conyers and the other participants, and when Milbank won't jump on board with that crowd it's got to be really, really embarrassing.
To: WestVirginiaRebel; All
she is trying to imply she actually had the ability.
This is the same political game when you win and some non-participant player trys to win your favor by claiming some form of credit.
Pelosi should stick to botox.

Your U.S. Congress in action. What a collection of idiots.

People shouldn't forget this image. It could be a reality if the republicans in DC don't get their act together and turn things around.

Second time today I have been threatened with Jim's wrath by proxy through you.
Freeping is fun, but I lived a pretty full life on this earth for 41 years without it and can probably live without it for a few years or so.
Looking at the home page it states "Free Republic is a forum for independent, grass roots conservatism". One could assume from that statement that the views of "independent, grass roots conservatives" might be respected here a bit more than the "vote buying, free spending, open border, big government, gay rights-ing, baby killing, sold out right wing socialists" who currently seem to run the GOP.
It seems you have three choices in this matter. One option is to find your inner conservative so my blasts won't bother you so much. Two is to ignore me and stop giving me guilt about not selling out my values for some votes or a vacuous concept such as a "party". Three is to accept the fact that I'm free to vote for who I want, when I want and can talk about it all I want, and use all your influence here on FR to get me banned.
I'm waiting.

That's always the way appeasement works. The more you give in to unreasonable people, the more unreasonable they become.
