"You're right. Staying home is stupid. I intend to vote third-party instead."

What an original idea! Wait, no it isn't! I believe that's the way we got Bill Clinton for eight years and just about destroyed this country. I guess you'll be happy to see Hillary complete the job.

I couldn't believe it when many conservatives voted for the third party ticket--TWICE! And I am astounded that it would be considered the thing to do less than six years later. Don't people ever learn (rhetorical question).

You are kidding yourself if you think there is a third party strong enough to win against the Democrats.

They don't want a third party to win.

They want the Republicans to lose.

Checked the FR polls? 20% of posters want the Democrats to take over Congress. You're seeing them here, in all their thumb-sucking glory.

As opposed to Republicans completing the job?

It's not about thinking they can win. It's about trying to make a statement that they're politically more pure, and that by being attention whores, they'll somehow change the political process for the better.

Never mind that that notion has been disproved every time in the last 150 years. These Don Quixotes actually think they make a positive difference.

If they had an ounce of sense, they'd know they usually make no difference, and when they do, it's negative.
