Amnesty called an alien invasion
The Washington Times ^ | April 14, 2006 | Jerry Seper

"Any guest-worker program approved by Congress for the nation's 11 million illegal aliens would spawn a new wave of cheap-labor illegals that already-overwhelmed federal authorities are unprepared to handle, law-enforcement authorities and immigration officials say. "

" If any of the guest-worker, or amnesty, plans now pending in Congress are approved, the nation will experience an even greater flood of illegal aliens than in the wake of President Reagan's 1986 amnesty program, said several officials. "

There are water shortages in our city because of over population. The illegal aliens are causing overcrowding in our schools, our hospitals, and now water shortages. When will every American stand up and take control? When will every American say ENOUGH! When will we take back our country from the invaders?

Say NO! Tell Congress NO to amnesty, NO to guest workers.

YES to deport and strict border control!

Invading our country should not be a misdemeaner pass HR4437

The problem with Amnesty is that John MCCain is the biggest proponent of Amnesty!

No one who enters or resides in the United States illegally should be granted citizenship, including their descendants.

"No one who enters or resides in the United States illegally should be granted citizenship, including their descendants."

Contrary to what most people say, isn't it true that in order for a descendant to be legal, at least ONE parent must be "under the control of ?" I heard this a while back, cannot remember the context. Anyone?

"The problem with Amnesty is that John MCCain is the biggest proponent of Amnesty!"

As are a whole host of Reps, including GWB. On Fox & Friends this morning they said that back in 2004 when Bush brought 'guest worker program' to the forefront, a survey was taken of illegals crossing the border. 40% of them said that they made the decision to cross specifically because of GWB's proposal, thinking they would get amnesty. She didn't say if there was an increase in numbers trying to cross, but she did say that shortly thereafter the White House put an end to further surveys.

I wonder if right now there is a huge increase in the numbers attempting to get in.

I agree 100% with this. Now if we can get Congress and the President to agree.

I have a simple solution for America's illegal alien labor attraction. We need to do away with the minimum wage protection for foreign workers, "guest workers".

Allow anyone from anywhere access into the US as long as they have a valid ID document from their country of origin.

If a "guest worker" can take a job Americans won't do, we ought require the employer to apply the current exchange rate of the employee's home country to the offered US labor rate.

For example, China's exchange rate to the US dollar is roughly 0.1209. If a job usually pays an American worker $18/hr, we should require employers to pay Chinese guest laborers only $2.18/hr for that job. Mexico's rate is roughly 0.0909. An $18/hr job ought justly net the Mexican guest worker $1.64/hr for the same labor. India's exchange rate is....well, you get the picture...

In addition to any criminal charges, allowing US citizens the ability to file significant civil litigation against employers for discriminatory practices would also help. If a Mexican guest worker is proven to have been paid $8/hr to shrub ditchbanks by a US employer, the employer ought be required to show he'd advertized an offer to Americans of $88/hr ($8 USD divided by 0.0909). If a Chinese guest worker is proven to have been paid $8/hr to wash dishes, the employer ought be required to show he'd posted an offer to Americans of $66/hr for the same job ($8 USD divided by 0.1209). Only if employers charged with discriminatory practices show they've offered/paid an American an adjusted net equivalent wage should they be abled to avoid prosecution.

Free markets ought be just that. Either they are free, or they aren't.

What about the national security risk?

I like my amnesty plan!
Please call them INVADERS and don't compare them to people who are legal aliens!
IF you aid and abet CRIMINALS, you are a criminal!

President Bush has been great on most things except for our border.
He has been great on the war on terrorists.
But on the border he is a gross failure.
He acted fast and correct on the 3,000+ people murdered at the world trade center.
He ignores the many rapes, murders and robberies which might be larger than the murders and money loss at the world trade center.
More Americans are abducted on the border of Mexico than in Iraq!

Start building the fence.
It should be made a felony for Criminals who overstay their visas and Invaders.

I believe we should give amnesty to these poor CRIMINALS or INVADERS.
This should be a 2 week amnesty to get the heck out of our Country.
The ones who ignore this amnesty should be buried in a tent city jail and fined $10,000 or buried elsewhere.
All aiders and abettors of these CRIMINALS or INVADERS should get 1 year in a tent city jail and a $10,000 fine for each CRIMINAL aided.
Those in government should be the first ones charged.
