Coulter's hottest book ever - 'Godless: The Church of Liberalism' takes on Darwin
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | May 9, 2006

America's most beloved and most despised commentator goes for the jugular like never before in her new book, "Godless: The Church of Liberalism."

This is not Ann Coulter's fence-mending mission with her enemies.

In her new book, available now through the WND Book Service at a discount of 32 percent, Coulter shows how liberal hostility to traditional religion stems from the fact that liberalism is itself a religion – a godless one. And, she reveals, thanks to the liberals who dominate the courts, the government bureaucracies, the schools and the media, liberalism is now the established religion in America.

Though liberalism rejects the idea of God and reviles people of faith, argues the WND columnist, it bears all the attributes of a religion itself. In "Godless," she throws open the doors of the Church of Liberalism, showing us:

Then, of course, there's the liberal creation myth: Charles Darwin's theory of evolution.

For liberals, evolution is the touchstone that separates the enlightened from the benighted. But Coulter neatly reverses the pretense that liberals are rationalists guided by the ideals of free inquiry and the scientific method. She exposes the essential truth about Darwinian evolution that liberals refuse to confront: It is bogus science.

Writing with a keen appreciation for genuine science, Coulter reveals that the so-called "gaps" in the theory of evolution are all there is – Darwinism is nothing but a gap. After 150 years of dedicated searching into the fossil record, evolution's proponents have failed utterly to substantiate its claims. And a long line of supposed evidence, from the infamous Piltdown Man to the "evolving" peppered moths of England, has been exposed as hoaxes. Still, liberals treat those who question evolution as religious heretics and prohibit students from hearing about real science when it contradicts Darwinism. And these are the people who say they want to keep faith out of the classroom?

Liberals' absolute devotion to Darwinism, Coulter shows, has nothing to do with evolution's scientific validity and everything to do with its refusal to admit the possibility of God as a guiding force. They will brook no challenges to the official religion.

Purchase Ann Coulter's "Godless" now at 32 percent off!

But, but Ann is an urbane, Northeastern conservative!

She may have a sharp wit, but doessn't she really - deep down inside - look down on all those dirty rednecks and superstitious Italian grandmamas like we do?

She can't actually believe the Bible is true, can she?

I've stated this many times before and I'll state it again. Liberals believe man is inately "good" and doesn't need to be taught morality. At the same time liberals repudiate a higher power in favor of natural selection. Religious dogma or at least Christianity implores us to act less animalistic and more "God-like". Go tell a liberal this and they will tell you that's a bunch of hooey.

Okay then, if we are to endulge our animalism over a higher calling, please do not bitch when one tribe attempts to exert it's influence over another. It's natural selection in action. You cannot have it both ways.

To those who dogmatically embrace the religious doctrine of evolution. Doesn't mean she isn't right, though.

Further, to those of us who understand that evolution is a religious doctrine rather than a valid scientific theory, her book will be a breath of fresh air. Personally, I'm really looking forward to this one. Nice to know that Ann continues in her habit of being right about everything.

I have long thought and so stated in this forum, that we need to use the argument of "Church and State" to combat liberalism's encroachment of the ideology on our children. They absolutely do treat their philosophy as if it were a religion. Glad to see that the renowned Ms. Coulter has come to the same conclusion.

The left is absolutely ahead of us in their ability to change our language and twist meanings (i.e. Affirmative Action), we need to come up with a phrase that allows for a redefinition of religion, not based on a Spiritual entity, but based on a dogmatic life philosophy.

If we could do this, then all of their arguments against the introduction of God into the classroom would be turned against them when they introduce their nondiety religious philosophy.

Let me venture a guess - "genuine science" just happens to be "science" that sees the world as Ann would like the world to be. What a coinky-dink.

Ooh, I can't wait. Then if some uppity geochemist or liberal godless paleostratigrapher tries to describe the physical evidence on Hannity and Colmbes, she can call them all kinds of catchy names like "god hater", "liberal" and "athiest". A few choice insults at the "godless scientific elite", followed by by some synchophantic creampuff questions from Hannity and the debate will be won. Hooray!

OK, I'll admit I'm not much of a Coulter fan to begin with, but, man, isn't this topic about as unoriginal as they come? At least in previous books she seemed to have some sort of an original angle. But liberalism (or humanism) as a religion? Gosh, where have I heard that before?

And 32 percent off before the book even comes out? Cut with the sales gimmick and just charge a reasonable amount to start with.

If she has faith she won't care a whit about how she "appears" to some. It's typically those spirits who have 'freed' themselves from God and faith who are concerned with such vanity.

the Church of Liberalism, showing us:

its sacraments (abortion)

its holy writ (Roe v. Wade)

its martyrs (from Soviet spy Alger Hiss to cop-killer Mumia Abu Jamal)

its clergy (public school teachers)

its churches (government schools, where prayer is prohibited but condoms are free)

its doctrine of infallibility (as manifest in the "absolute moral authority" of spokesmen from Cindy Sheehan to Max Cleland)

and its cosmology (in which mankind is an inconsequential accident)

Then, of course, there's the liberal creation myth: Charles Darwin's theory of evolution.

WHAM! I'm not a Coulter fan, but she hit this one out of the park. I've always believed that public schools represent the temples of secular humanism. If you've ever gone to a public school committee meeting regarding some hot-button social issue, you know what I mean.

My embarrassment for her was in no way related to her bank account, which I'm sure is healthy.

The cherry-picking for "genuine science" is a bit silly. Especially since I'm betting that not an iota of the "genuine" science she finds will conflict with her premise.

The debate between evolutionists and people of faith has little to do with science, since science has offered no proof that life emerged from nonlife, or that multi-celled organisms can rise from single-celled organisms, or that intelligence rose from non-intelligence, or that everything is the product of chance. The "conclusions" of the Darwinists is speculation based upon a philosophical framework. The evidence for evolution seems far from compelling. It seems compelling only to those with a prior commitment to metaphysical materialism. As Stephen Barr, Ph.D., professor of particle physics as the University of Delaware, has written in MODERN PHYSICS AND ANCIENT FAITH, "The materialist's story had a moral, but it did not constitute a proof of materialism. There was no experiment that proved that only matter existed, nor was there any calculation that proved that the universe had no purpose." In short, those who look at the "scientific evidence" and conclude that matter is all there is, and that scientific materialism best describes the way life and the universe work, are jumping to conclusions -- conclusions that are based upon their own philosophical viewpoint, to conclusions based upon science.

No, Anne! Come back to the Truth!

Its right here...............

http://www.echoesofenoch.com/hollowearth.htm

The Earth is hollow!!!!!!!!!!!

I read it on the Internet therefore it must be true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Bible says so too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..........

Isa 40:22 "It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in."

.......and we all know that the Bible is the literal Word of God!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets all get together and get this into our Godless Public School System as a viable alternative to what the Godless Geologists profess!!!!!!!!

Who's with me?

And now a word from the illustrious founder of the Hollow Earth Society:
