Headline: JustPiper calls Freepers "vigilantes".
Do you realize that the HOUSE Republicans have quite a few members that HAVE been fighting like crazy for spending cuts, border control and other very conservative causes???
They are still enough of a minority in the Majority party that they don't get exactly what they want all of the time, but they have been influencing the others quite a bit!!
If we don't vote Republican in Nov., or don't vote at all...we will be letting them down..
A lot of people tout Tancredo on this site lately because of the immigration problem...do you think letting the DEMS get the majority in the House would be HELPING him or supporting his work???
What about Mike Pence and Jeb Hensarling, who have made a LOT of Republicans mad at them because they fight the "established" Congressweinies on every spending bill!!
Please think about this....all of these people will end up in the MINORITY, so all of their hard work will be for nothing...only because some people aren't getting life exactly how they want it right NOW.
What you said in post #17. I wholeheartedly agree.
I will no longer defend President Bush to my friends and associates. There is nothing left to defend. He has knifed us all in the back.
Did you read the post? Statements like yours makes JustPiper's point.
See thats how folks take things out of context like MsM
There are a handful, HANDFUL here that yes act like vigilantes
act like vigilantes
Did you read the transcript of what Bush said about vigilante's.
Piper's post and my response to it makes my point.
~phew you get it thank goodness ;)
The president's remarks were taken out of context.
And you don't.
Belive me I get it more clear everyday and see here's the thing...
You are entitled to your opinion but not mine
I stand by my post #261.
My intention was not to flame you but to make a simple point.
Good evening.
Reagan was overwritten by the democratic majority. He had to pass amnesty to get another bill passed.
Then please do the right thing and resign from FR now. This site supports our president.
Thanks
I sympathize, but just in case you haven't noticed, Jim has generally been on the "it's no big deal" side of argument. It could appear to the casual observer the open borders advocates around here have been given a wink and a nod when they initiate their ad hominems.
Can't say for sure, but I sense JR may be coming around to something more in line with about 90+% of conservatives' view on the subject. In which case, the flamers may actually get reined in some. Hope so.

Jim,
It would be ironic for a supporter of Bush to call for the extinction of the spotted owl.
LOL.
BTW I agree with you on this at this time and in this fight we need to support our president.
CJ
Did you ever get the feeling you said something, then went uh-oh!
Best wishes for more of the same spineless G.O.P. in 2008....
I think the worst flamers are those who come in here to trash the president and the "bushbots" every day, every thread and every post. I see it as trolling. Trolls are people who come into a forum to trash the place. Doesn't matter to me if they think they are high and mighty "true" conservatives or not. A troll is a troll is a troll. I also see what some of our so-called "true" conservatives post on their antifreeper sites. Yeah, well maybe I give some of our people a little leeway. I know what it's like to be on the receiving end of spiteful more patriotic than thou "true" conservatives. Some of the nastiest trolls have already been ejected and I'm sure others will follow. When people get to the point that they hate us, hate FR, and hate what we are trying to accomplish here, maybe they should just leave and join a site where their views are better appreciated. Why hang around to make themselves and everyone else miserable?
So do I, generally speaking, but when he screws up we shouldn't be afraid to say so. And the same thing goes for the GOP. (Fixed.)
