The guest worker program is a good idea.
First, we need to lose the mindset that we "NEED" them here- we do not. American workers don't want the jobs because the illegals keep the wages too low. This leads to the next suggestion: Arrest, fine and jail for those companies that hire these people. THEY are the biggest part of the problem, hiring on the cheap knowingly and exploiting the illegals.

Increase the size and function of the border patrol and fire ineffectual supervisors. Back them up with military, if necessary. Abolish the INS and re-construct it (with all new people)under the Department of Homeland Security.

Stop the popular mindset that "we simply CAN'T" deport "ALL" 11 million illegals. Yes we can. We aren't going to catch them all in one day- deport them as we catch them.

Change the law that allows illegals to stay if a pregnant woman stumbles across the border quick enough to have her child born here. Whether the child is a citizen or not- the parent are NOT and should be sent home.

Outlaw ALL welfare and routine health care benefits for illegals. Demand proof of citizenship or green card before allowing the kids in our schools. End bilingual education programs in public schools.

Lastly- The president should have a little heart-to-heart with Fox and let him know the damage we can do his economy if he doesn't start playing ball on this issue. They are pals- right? Then as a "pal", GW should tell him like it is.

One more thing...the next time we encounter federales on our side of the border, the order should be "shoot at will".

So tomorrow you are going to apply for a vegetable pickers or construction job.

The wages aren't low, some illegals are making $20 or more an hour in construction.

That's another thing that has to stop is these myths and demonization of business.

I recently discovered a disturbing reality. I received a call fro the Sec. Of State Office (MI) to verify residence for a drivers license applicant who rents from me. I verified then called back the supervisor/manager. It seems that until recently, MI required no proof of anything to get a DL. They had illegal folks bussed in from NJ and other states to get DL's here. Holy shit!!!! Once a DL they can register to vote etc. etc.

We are really in bad shape here. How can this all come about??

Also, friend told recently by INS after hunting her tenants (illegals) that she had better check immigration status. She started doing it and had a complaint foiled against her with the MI Civil Right Commission for discrimination. They told her if she asked Mexican with little English skills she had better as middle class white Americans to prove they are citizens also. I called the Civil Right commission and discussed it. They were adamant. o discrimination based on national origin!!!!!!!!

What a bunch of crap!

Take it all the way and abolish the anchor baby citizenship.

The immediate cessation of all federal, state, and local financial, educational, housing, hospitalization and welfare benefits to all illegal aliens, employed or not.

Stop the merry-go-round at the border. Once deported or sent back and caught crossing the second time, put them in a work camp to clean up the trash along the border from California to the Gulf for six months. Put all employers on notice, publishing and posting the fines for hiring illegals right next to their business license or "No Smoking" signs.

I would add one thing to this.

Stop the welfare state. If you do that, you'll have a flood of workers that will take jobs that are already American Citizens.

I highly doubt they would turn down a job that keeps them from starving to death. Too many of these leeches are quite capable of getting off their fat arses and out from in front of the TV to go get a job, but they won't because they have had it ingrained into them that "The guvmint owes 'em"
