Read the book Freakonomics. Legalized abortion is a major reason for the sharp drop in violent crime. (A large percentage of violent criminals are parented by under-educated, poor, unmarried women -- the same ones who now are prone to use abortion as a birth control method.)

Sorry dude - but this claim in Freakonomics has been debunked - just do a google search.
The drop in crime is related to rising sentence lengths and longer imprisonment of offenders.
