Something that I think needs to be done is to forbid all money orders and transfers going to Mexico. As much as I hate to see another law passed, one needs to be that would make selling money orders that are going to Mexico and or wiring money to Mexico against the law. (Of course our ball-less Congress will never do such a thing.)

You notice the media always tries to pin his low approval on Iraq, or some other issue. They refuse to admit that it is Pres. Bush protecting illegal insurgents instead of American Citizens.
And apparently no one in the WH has the guts to tell him the truth.

Yes he is, but it's not to late for Karl Rove to turn this around and slam the Dems in November.
Me thinks it was the plan all along.

Pure paranoic crap. I'd rather have Moby running the country than this group of clowns. It'd be a tough choice, but yeah, I'm leaning Moby.

3,500 - 10,000? That's it? Try 40-50,000 and how about just forming a section of the guard that is for domestic patrol only...maxing out at 10,000 per-state in the union. Meaning that 10,000 members of the National Guard can be recruited and brought in each state for domestic patrol...immigration control only. Not be sent overseas to fight in a foreign war. You would see local offices flooding with recruits immediately.
More Americans are concerned about the borders of Mexico and Canada and what is flooding into the country than what is flowing into an Arab country. Enough nation building for now...how about we build up our own...it IS OUR TAX DOLLARS.

Absolute nonsense.

Fence the borders and START SENDING THEM HOME, ONE BY ONE.....
To: forty_years
1. close the borders
2. give all illegals 6 months to register as illegals. This would include all adults and children. This would include picture and fingerprint identification.
3. change the law that allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen.
4. give all employers 6 months to make sure that all employees are legal citizens or are here as legal migrants. After 6 months, a large daily fine for each illegal employed who is not registered.
5. all schools, hospitals and employers require registration and positive identification for any service.
6. allow a certain number of illegals to make application for citizenship and reenter the country legally (over a 10 year period)
7. Any person convicted of breaking the law to be deported immediately. No appeal...
8. any citizen who provides fake or forged documents would be subject to a minimum of 10 years in jail.

"Perhaps most importantly, it is time for the Third World to start dealing with its own problems (like corruption and overpopulation), and stop trying to dump those problems on the U.S."
Here, here. Bush, Frist, et al. seem to think we can solve the world's problems by bringing their people here. We end up importing not only their people, but also their problems. I'm tired of seeing my country turned into the third world. I never expected to see a president as weak and ineffectual as Carter, but now suspect Bush is trying to outdo him in those categories.

Why are these article from weeks and sometimes months ago being rehashed? I'm not complaining about it, just asking the question.
