President Bush plans to call for troops and a high-tech "virtual" fence to beef up the border

Count me as a skeptic. The troops are temporary at best and will likely spend most of their time rescuing lost and stranded "migrants."

A virtual fence is like virtual sex - not very satisfying. Why settle for virtual? Build it already.

If a virtual fence is good enough for the border, I expect the wrought iron surrounding the White House to be coming down Teusday morning.

Virtual fence, to corral people that have made it across already, and put them into the justice system. How about a fence that doesn't allow them in, and a policy that says if they are caught, send them back immediatelly.

You can take a virtual fence down faster and easier.

Here I am "virtually" flipping W off for the idea of a virtual fence. Unless they manage to come up with something like the invisible fence dog containment system it won't work. What the hell is wrong with the idea of rounding up the illegal scumbags, putting them on work gangs and having them build the wall, not fence that will keep them out in the future.
