Good piece and timely. The problem is that we only see half the picture. So much goes on that never becomes public, or only years later and meanwhile the general dumb public believes the relentless MSM lies. Drip, drip, drip. With Bush's poll numbers finally in the cellar (Wolf Blizter must be ecstatic), he has to do something meaningful about border control. If he'd only addressed this properly two or three years ago, it wouldn't be a nightmare. We conservatives were yelling about it, but they didn't pay attention. (I think he should have Jeff Sessions over for dinner on a weekly basis.)

I have read somne of your posts and I take issue only with your defeatist attitude ala predictions. Nothing like poll watching. I prefer to use much of my energy writing to congress and working in real campaigns in the attempt to have the most conservative candidate win the primary.

I explained why the Border Conservatives are going to deliver the GOP an ugly defeat this November, and what the GOP will probably do to recover from it in 2007, to have a reasonable shot at recapturing it all in 2008.
I was analyzing what Border Conservatives are doing and saying, comparing it to the behavior of tax-hawks and pro-lifers in the past, and noting what the long term outcome probably will be, based on past political history.

The Ohio Republican party gave overt support to Jim Petro against Ken Blackwell, but the grassroots effort and public support gave Blackwell, a REAL conservative, the substantial victory.
It is incumbent on "we, the people" to get rid of the RINOS. If we will not do that, it is not the party to blame, but ourselves.

I think this is AN EXTREMELY CRITICAL POINT. There are Marxist elite folks using the GOP to evil ends, too. No surprise there. But that's no reason to roll over and play dead and allow them to give it WHOLESALE TO THE DIMRATS to do the worst possible toward Machiavellian Marxist ends. Those traitors would be many times worse at a much faster pace than perhaps even the worst RINOS.
