I hear the dam breaking. This fence will succeed in preventing border-jumping in urban areas like the San Diego fence has done, and will make it easier to isolate the illegals to remote areas where we can better concentrate personnel and UV minitoring. Additionally I think that vehicle barriers will be placed alongside a much wider border area.

This is a good beginning, and I am cautiously optimistic...

I agree 100%...I live 7 miles north of the border and this is a huge step in the right direction. The bottom-line is that if the fence they build works to stop the crossings, then the pressure to extend it will be unstoppable!
