A half-dozen illegal immigrants are suing the Salvation Army under New Jersey's consumer-fraud law, claiming local officials took their money under false promises of serving as a "bridge" to gaining legal status.
The lawsuit----claims the Rev. Enoc Tito Sotelo told his mostly Latino congregation at Plainfield's two-story Salvation Army church that he would help them become Americans if they each paid $4,000 and gave a $500 donation to the church.
..........a lawyer for the plaintiffs, says Sotelo and Jorge Sancho, a Salvation Army captain assigned to the Bound Brook office, used the Salvation Army's reputation to harm his clients.
.....Sotelo was fired in April, and Sancho was dismissed from his job in November.

Six criminals are suing the Salvation Army because another criminal conned them, using the Salvation Army as cover? Any judge who would hear that case needs a psyche eval.
Something doesn't sound right about this law suit!
No good deed goes unpunished!
A bad situation getting stranger.
This is getting F*ing insane.
This is so bogus.......illegals are poised, and ready to sue if they break a fingernail....when will the courts wake up to this sue-'em con game?
Exactly what "right" to use our courts do illegal invaders have here in the US???? THe idea that just physically getting to US soil somehow give special rights is a plot only liberals (and GW) could love.
If we would instead give NO rights to those who come here illegally - no health care, no public aid, no housing loans, no education, and punish those who hire them - then guess what - they go back home voluntarily (until the ACLU files a lawsuit in their favor).
...where the streets are paved with gold....
Why not play the tort lottery while you're here?
Illegal organized criminals are way ahead of law-abiding Americans on these scams.
We should understand the arrogance and thumb-your-nose attitude they display whenever they pop up in public view, talking about taking over our country with the
vote, or by violence.........whatever it takes.
The illegal criminal invaders have been getting away with multiple frauds for years----they have fully screwed American taxpayers, American law enforcement, American social service agencies, and now they are preying on hyphenating politicans to finalize the ultimate illegals
scam---citizenship and amnesty.
Unfortunately our refusal to make them criminals when they stepped a toe on our soil has made them more defiant than ever.

The lawyer is suing the SA because they "should have known about the two men's activities."
So how the 'heck' would the SA know about this scam? By getting a secret message from Angels? Or maybe a talking burning bush?
Sheesh, this borders on 'Erasers cause spelling mistakes'.
If these illegals didn't break the LAW in the first place they couldn't have become 'victims' now could they?
Proverbs 2:3 Beg as loud as you can for good common sense.
Ever hear of "Swoop and Squat"? I hear some personal injury lawyers are recruiting Criminal Aliens to do the jobs that legal citizens won't do.
"Something doesn't sound right about this law suit! "
One thing that doesn't sound right to me is that I've never heard of Salvation Army folks being called "reverend", they have military titles. But that could be a mistake of the author.
media is prolly supplying the rev.
The SA here isn't being treated like a church but like a business.
lol
Welcome to the new world order of Bush's open borders and the ACLU attorny fest...
muahahaha
I can only laugh at this...DO YOU LIKE IT?
DO YOU LIKE YOUR NEW AMERICA?
You aint seen nothing yet...
