That's amazing!! It'll make things so much better for lesbian couples wanting families of their own! But yes, it does have a long way to go. Keep us posted!

What is a woman is born with what looks like 2 overies but one is actually a testicle?? I've heard that we've all got overies at first and they become testicles if they drop?? anyone else heard of this..? Then it would be possible for a woman to get another woman pregnant like that too?
RxChick Fri, 05/19/2006 2:51pm reply
we will spend the rest of our lives "Trying" Can't hurt to try anyway.... every night... LOL
RxChick Fri, 05/19/2006 7:55pm reply
That is... ridiculously cool! It's a little pointless because I'm sure that many women enjoy the presence of men (and men generally enjoy existing), but it's cool.

Unless this 'position' is hidden in the Kama Sutra somewhere, two chicks still ain't gonna be makin' no babies *alone*.

While this is a scientific breakthrough, the process has not been perfected yet. It took 460 tries at growing embryos this way. And of the ten live mice born in the surviving mouses litter, she is the only one to survive to adulthood. "
Let's recap: 460 tries produces one surviving pregnant mouse, who has 10 pups, of which 1 survives.
And the lesbians see this as hopeful?
Only a liberal lesbian could see sacrificing 468 mice to produce 1 fatherless mouse as success! lol

The {shudder!} comments made by those people in reaction to that article are quite disconcerting.
And sort of nauseating, really.

Humans will soon have the option to create babies without men, or without women, or without either (that one will take a bit longer).

Kaguya Hime
By Yoshiko Fushimi
Once upon a time, there lived a kind old wood cutter and his wife in a village. One day, when the old wood cutter went to the bamboo forest, he found a shining bamboo. Upon cutting it, he found inside a baby girl. The old wood cutter and his wife decided to bring her up because they had no children. They named the baby "Kaguya hime." (Princess Kaguya) Whenever he went to cut bamboo after that, the old man found money in the bamboo. They became rich.
Kaguya hime grew steadily and became a beautiful lady. She had a lot of young men who wanted to marry her. But she didn't show interest. She always looked up at the night sky.
Her father asked her, "What makes you so sad? What's the matter?"
She said, "I'm all right. But, to tell the truth, I was born on the moon. I must return to the moon on the night of the 15th of November when angels will come to meet me."
"That's nonsense," said the father, very embarrassed and angry.
The next day was the 15th. The father hoped she would never return to the moon. On that day, the moon was appearing over the mountain, when a gold light flashed. An angel came down. Kaguya hime couldn't help following the light. She slowly flew up into the sky hand in hand with the angel. Nothing could stop them.
The old man and his wife could do nothing but watch her departure. The moral of this story is obvious, don't be a Lumberjack.

Suspendies, and a bra.
I wish I'd been a girlie,
Just like my dear Papa!

OTOH, the schools are closing in San Francisco because there aren't any kids and people are leaving Mass. for Red America.
I wouldn't worry about anything here.

The author of this inaccurate drivel needs a better education to write of this topic:
Parthenogenesis, or virgin birth, is defined as reproduction without fertilization. It occurs naturally in some plant and insect species. It does not occur naturally in mammals, but like many other procedures of our day, it can now occur with the assistance of scientists.
In April 2004, Japanese scientists announced they created the first mammal by combining the nucleus of one females egg with that of another. What the second paragraph describes is somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT), cloning. What the article starts out purporting is parthenogenesis, which is NOT SCNT. I guess it's not amazing that lesbians lie to themselves and each other with such impunity.

When Scientist do not recognize and accept that the knowledge and talents they have were a gift from God then they will use this knowledge and talent in ungodly ways.
It's a shame too, because there is so much work yet to do in saving and improving human life like trying to find the cure for Cancer, Alzheimer's disease, Muscular Dystrophy, and on and on and on. Shamefully they are waisting their talents trying to prove God is dead or never was. I would not want to be in their shoes on Judgment Day.

Remember ladies: what's good for the goose is good for the gander. If women can grow test tube babies it won't be any big scientific leap for men to do the same.
Yet another attempt to destroy the traditional family. I'll add it as number 254,112,465,943 to the list.

Ya gotta wonder why such experiments would be of interest to anyone and who is footing the bill and what is their agenda?
I believe that most women would still want us guys around, even if they didn't need us for procreating, just cause we are such sweet and lovable little fuzz balls.

Thanks for the ping. I guess to me it's scary that scientists are even working on a project like this. The scariest thing though is that some people think it's "cool", definitely hard to figure out some people's logic.
